IA is a web-based system that supports systematic work-environment and improvement procedures. It has been developed by AFA Insurance in association with the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise, the Swedish Trade Union Confederation, the Swedish Council for Negotiation and Co-operation, and the sectors that use the IA system.

All operation and development of IA is managed by AFA Insurance. All companies operating in Sweden that are insured via AFA Insurance (TFA) can use the IA system worldwide. Users can also influence the development of IA via committees and reference groups.

The procedure at the heart of IA manages the entire improvement process – from reported occurrences via inquiry, with risk assessment and cause analysis, to actions and follow-up.

What do we need to do to access the system?

Send the corporate registration number and contact details of your Swedish office to [email protected].

We will then check whether your company or organisation can use IA. If you can, we will create a test account for you so that you can see if IA meets your needs.

Once you have decided to use IA and have sent us a signed agreement, you will be given an active account with access to all functions.

How much time and effort is required to start using IA?

It is impossible to say exactly as this will vary from company to company.

It is important to appoint suitable people as IA administrators (Supe-rusers). They need to understand how your organization works and be able to learn new IT systems easily. They also need good communication with the people who will be using the system daily (such as managers, and health and safety representatives).

What technology is required? Will our IT department have to do anything?

IA is web-based system and does not require computer installation.

And while no intervention by your IT department is necessary to get started with IA, it is a good idea to involve your IT department in the implementation.

If you want to use IA’s import and export services or Single Sign-On (SSO), you will need assistance from your IT department.

Which sectors are using IA?

All sectors can use IA.

At www.afaforsakring.se/ia can see the sectors that are using the system today.

You can use IA even if you do not belong to one of the listed sectors.
