(2Co 11:13-15) For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming

themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed

into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if

his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end

shall be according to their works.

A. He will deceive through

Persuasion

1. Persuasion through Answers

(Dan 8:23) And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the

transgressors are come to the full, a king of

fierce countenance, and understanding dark

sentences, shall stand up.

2. Persuasion through Flattery

(Dan 11:21) …but he shall come in peaceably, and obtain the kingdom by

flatteries.

(Dan 11:32) … shall he corrupt by flatteries: but

the people that do know their God shall be strong,

and do exploits.

(Dan 8:24) And his power shall be mighty, but not by

his own power: and he shall destroy

wonderfully...

(Dan 8:25) And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in

his hand; …

3. Persuasion through Peace

(Dan 9:27) And he shall confirm the covenant with

many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the

oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of

abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that

determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

(Rev 6:2) And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto

him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.

(Dan 8:25) … and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he

shall be broken without hand.

B. He will deceive through Power

1. Power of healing

(2Th 2:9) Even him, whose coming is

after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying

wonders,

(Rev 13:12-15) And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. And he doeth

great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of

those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast

should both speak…

(Rev 16:13-14) And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.

For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles,

which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the

battle of that great day of God Almighty.

2. Source of Power

Divine Power (Exo 7:10) And Moses and Aaron went in unto Pharaoh, and they did so as the LORD had commanded: and Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh, and before his servants, and it became a serpent.

Diabolical Power(Exo 7:11-12) Then Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers: now the magicians of Egypt, they also did in like manner with their enchantments. For they cast down every man his rod, and they became serpents: but Aaron's rod swallowed up their rods.

(Rev 13:3) And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded

which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to

make war with him?

4. The Misconception

All healing comes from God and all sickness comes from Satan • (2Co 12:10) Therefore I take

pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

• (1Ti 5:23) Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomach's sake and thine often infirmities.

1. Prevail Religiously

(Rev 13:8) And all that dwell upon the earth

the book of life of the Lamb slain from the

foundation of the world

2. Prevail Politically

(Rev 13:16-17) And he causeth all, both small and

great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and

tongues, and nations

3. Prevail Commercially

(Rev 13:17) And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had

the mark, or the name of the beast, or

the number of his name.

D. He will deceive

through a Plot

(2Th 2:4) Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing

himself that he is God.

(Rev 13:15) And he had power to give life unto the image of the

beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the

image of the beast should be killed.

(Psa 55:20-21) He hath put forth his hands against such as be at peace with him: he hath broken his covenant. The words of his

mouth were smoother than butter, but war was in his heart: his words were softer than oil, yet were they

drawn swords.

(Mat 24:15-21) When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation,

spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: Let him which is on the housetop not come down

to take any thing out of his house: Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. And woe unto

them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: For then shall be great

tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no,

nor ever shall be.

(Rev 16:12-16) And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared. And I saw three unclean spirits

his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame. And he gathered them

together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.

(Rev 14:20) And the winepress was trodden without the city, and

blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by

the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.
