Stryker iSWITCH®

Looking to increase safety and efficiency in the operating room, Stryker developed the market’s first wireless universal footswitch, the iSWITCH®. This footswitch uses a wireless USB connection and has the ability to control multiple devices in the operating room. This technology eliminates the inconveniences and hazards standard footswitches and cords can create.

The iSWITCH® incorporates a unique three-button, two-pedal footswitch that communicates wirelessly to a receiver console in the OR. The receiver console has the ability to connect to and control all Stryker TPS, CORE, SERFAS™ and SERFAS™ Energy footswitch functions.

Now, with the addition of the iSWITCH® Valleylab Integration Kit to the iSWITCH® product line, Stryker’s wireless universal footswitch technology can extend across specialties to control the functions of the Valleylab Force FX ESU in general surgical procedures.

Features & Benefits of the iSWITCH®:

• The iSWITCH® improves operating room ergonomics and safety by eliminating the need for multiple footswitches and cords to be placed under and around the sterile-field.

• By giving the iSWITCH® the ability to control the Valleylab Force FX ESU, the iSWITCH® Valleylab Integration Kit makes it possible for complete footswitch standardization across specialties in the OR.

• The iSWITCH® is designed with an ergonomic handle for easy maneuverability and handling.

• The iSWITCH® uses a non-rechargeable alkaline battery pack that can be disposed of normally. The battery life expectancy is up to 2 months per pack and an indication will be displayed on the receiver when the battery pack charge is getting low.

• Stryker’s Clean-and-Dry Bags allow the staff to completely seal the iSWITCH® for easy clean up and quick turnover in between cases.
