What you need: LCD projector Computer speakers Apple VGA Adapter

Unfortunately, there is no cheap way to use it without wires.

Setting up your iPad:International Keyboards
By using International Keyboard, your iPad can recognize that you’re no longer typing in English. Spell check will work in another language
Launch Settings Find the General tab Tap
Keyboard International Keyboards Add New Keyboard…

Setting up your iPad:iCloud
iCloud allows you to sync your documents and settings to Apple’s cloud servers.
You can load documents and presentations onto your iPad by visiting www.icloud.com if you have installed Keynote and Pages.
Launch Settings Find iCloud tab
Log in to iCloud using your Apple ID. You can create one if you don’t already have one

Setting up your iPad:WCPS Outlook E-mail
You can have all of your WCPS e-mails automatically pushed to your iPad.
Launch Settings Find the Mail, Contacts, Calendars tab Tap:

Internet Filter
When you connect your iPad to your school’s network, it automatically thinks that you are a student.
If a website is blocked, you cannot override it (at least right now).

Internet Filter & YouTube
The web filter keeps changing. On Friday, you were only able to access EDU – YouTube. www.youtube.com/education Not all YouTube videos are on here, but there are tons of
educational and cultural videos here. If you find a YouTube video that you like, try to view it on
your iPad beforehand. This morning: The YouTube iPad app worked just
fine and it seemed as if I could view any video

iPad. It will beep loudly for 2 minutes. You can also remotely lock and wipe your iPad from the

Free Uses
Use as a digital whiteboard Have students use the iPad to write their answers and then
project on the LCD screen Tip for Jenny Comer
You can record audio while writing on the digital whiteboard (i.e. a lesson on conjugating verbs)
If you create a ShowMe account, you can upload these to the Internet and post on Edline or a class website for students who are absent
It does take a long time to upload (nearly 2 hours) – this is normal You can purchase a stylus (like a pen) at 5 Below to improve your
handwriting

Included app with iPad I’ve loaded all of my CDs onto the iPad and put each
one into a separate playlist Instead of fumbling through 30 CDs, I just launch the
app, choose the chapter, and play the audio file
