E x t e n s i v e e n v i r o n m e n t a l r a d i o - a c t i v i t y d a t a h a s been accumula t ed s i n c e t h e program began. . A b a s e l i n e a c t i v i t y l e v e l f o r t h e a r e a con- c e r n e d h a s been d e l i n e a t e d from f r e q u e n t s u r v e y s . Some d e v i a t i o n o c c u r r e d i n t h e first q u a r t e r o f t h e y e a r , however , ? resumably as a r e s u l t of n u c l e a r t e s t i n g i n Nevada i n t h e f a l l of 1958 ( F i g u r e I ) .
