Not given agy responsibleassignment but served in various minor assignmentswhere an intimate knowledge of Eastern affairs wasneeded. Eventually became head of the Caucasussection which was later changed into Section forForeign i.e. non-Russian, Nations. In this capacitymaintained contact with most of the Eastern nation-alities through national control offices of theOstministerium and through AM.1,ea.el-imlotsthostetzezthe national liaison committees. His office alsodirected activities at the Ostministerium camp ofWustreu, a training camp for collaborators of Easternnaticoalities. His contact with the RSHA was alleged-ly limited to requests for clearance of non-Germanswith when he intended to work. Also helped organizethe propaganda program for Veneta of the PropagandaMinistry.

i. His Ph.D. dissertation, Stuslies on the Colonizationof the Soviet Union, was published as a book in1933 by Briebatsch in Breslmi. In 1936, be wrotea paper entitled 'National Struggle of the Turksin Russia. In 1938 'Die Valker Der Sowjetunicalwas published and used as a standard work in theOstministerium. All the first editions availablewere later destroyed and a second edition publishedentitled, 'Die Volker des Catena.' In addition hecollaborated with three other Georgians all beingheld imam US interrogation center, on thrity-sixpapers dealing with national groups in Ruisia, Naziadministrative problems and methods in EasternEurope and the organization of the Ostministerium.(45).
