PrefaceThe guiding principle in writing this book was to create a set of Test papers for students-A test paper that presents the material in a way that they learn to solve all thequestions of Organic Chemistry in conceptual and sequencial way.In Test paper we mixed all our teaching experience of 12 years along with theoraticaland experimental knowledge to generate a series of test paper for all students to reasontheir way to a solution rather than memorize a multitude of facts, hoping they don’t runout of memory. This Test paper covers 24 papers with all type of questions which can give you a clearcutpicture of subject that you must know before examination. Each paper includes 10 SingleCorrect Question (SCQ), 7 Multiple Correct Question (MCQ), 5 Assertion & Reason(A/R), 2 Match the Column (MTC), 2 Comprehension (2 × 2 Questions) & 2 Integer i.e.30 Questions in each paper. Student can judge their preparation level by practicing inone hour time duration and filling in omr sheet.Organic chemistry is very easy and conceptual subject and need proper understandingof the basics and stretegy to solve the questions in corret manner. This Test paper will prepare your right mindset for learning Organic Chemistry. Thismindset is essentially the one that focuses you on a small number of straight forward, fundamental concepts and helps you to apply them in different ways to solve the varietyof problems you face in organic chemistry. In this book balance has to be achieved between the number of questions and the qualityof the questions, especially because it is relatively easy to frame a very large number ofmultiple-choice questions and theory of the subject. The questions in this book have been selected keeping three things in mind.First- the questions are such that they really test the understanding of the subject.Second- the questions cover all concepts.Third- the number of questions has been kept large enough to offer meaningful practiceto the students. We would like to thank the editors and production staff for their efforts in bringing outthe book. Suggestions from readers for the improvement of the book are welcome.

AcknowledgementWe are thankful to all the teachers who taught us during the concept building session ofour life specially Dr. Nizamuddin sir, senior Chandra Vijay Rao and Dr. Vijay PratimaMittal madam. We have written this book to remove the fever of organic chemistry from mind ofstudents. We particularly want to thank many wonderful and talented students whom we havetaught over the years who in turn taught us how to be a good teacher and how we canhelp others. We want to make this book as user friendly as possible, and we will appreciate anycomments that will help us to achieve this goal in future editions. Finally, this edition has been presented before you with efforts to make it error free. Anythat remain are our responsibility; if you find any, please let us know so they can becorrected in future printing.

Paragraph for Question Nos. 25-26Tropone is an organic compound with some importance in organic chemistry as an non-benzenoidaromatic. The compound consists of a ring of seven carbon atoms with three conjugated alkenegroups and a ketone group. The related compound tropolone has an additional alcohol (or an enol)group next to the ketone. The tropone moiety can be found in bimolecules such as colchiecine, stipitatic acid & hinokitiol. Tropone has been known since 1951 and is also called cycloheptatrienyliumoxide. The name tropolone was coined by Dewar in 1945 in connection to perceived aromaticproperties.

Paragraph for Question Nos. 27-28
Salicylic acid is a monohydroxybenzoic acid, a type of phenolic acid and a β-hydroxy acid . It has theformula C7H6O3. This colourless crystalline organic acid is widely used in organic synthesis andfunctions as a plant hormone. It is derived from the metabolism of salicin. In addition to being animportant active metabolite of aspirin, which acts in parts as a prodrug to salicyclic acid, it is probablybest known for its use as a key ingredient in topical anti-acne products. The salts and esters of salicylicacid are known as salicylates.
27. IUPAC name of Salicylic acid is(A) o-Hydroxybenzoic acid (B) 2-Hydroxybenzene(C) 2-Carboxyphenol (D) 2-Hydroxybenzene carboxylic acid
