I believe that humans will have to colonise another planet because of what we have done to Earth. Here is some research I have done.

Space colonies could become our only option in the future. The colonies would mine the other planets of our solar system and build spacecrafts and power satellites that will replace power plants on the Earth.

Mars is the most likely candidate within our solar system for colonization. We don’t know if colonizing Mars will avoid humans becoming extinct. However, we know for a fact that if we stay only on planet Earth we will go extinct. We also know that making a colony on another planet is the best and possibly only way to avoid going extinct.

Mars is the best candidate in our solar system and it is so polluted that we could be better off on Earth. Mars’s atmosphere has next to no oxygen and you couldn’t survive with out a space suit.

The Earth provides for us the right balance of necessary conditions so that we can live in reasonable comfort without artificial aid. Through advances in technology, we might certainly be able to create an environment in which we could live on almost any other planet (e.g. a space suit is a miniature of such an environment). But whether another planet out in space harbours conditions similar enough to earth that we would need little or no "artificial environment" is unknown. We might think that such another planet ought to exist, but it doesn't mean that it necessarily does. The role of science is to take us from what we think **might** be true to what really is true and possible. In order for us to live on another planet, we must first find other planets (this is an active field of research that astronomers are now making great progress in), determine whether they are suitable for us, and then travel to them. All of these require significant advances in our knowledge and technology. This is not to say that it is beyond our capabilities, but rather to consider what would need to be done to do it. Little by little we are destroying Earth. One of the ways we are doing that is by having nuclear wars with each other. For example world war one and two. The Americans, Baghdad, Japan and all the others who are using nuclear missiles against each other.

Global Warming is upon us which means that the North, South poles and Antarctica are slowly melting so the sea levels are rising and the small islands are being overrun by water. Global warming is being caused by pollution, smoke, Nuclear wars and so much more.
