Terms & Conditions• The Distance Learning Summer Course is jointly organised by the INTT and the Amsterdam-Maastricht Summer

University. Participants paying the non-reduced course fee are entitled to use the facilities of Amsterdam-Maastricht Summer University: cultural programme, tourist programme. Applications can be submitted online via www.amsu.edu. The conditions of the AMSU will apply to these applications.

• Since all on-site teaching has been suspended due to the COVID-19 crisis, this summer courses will go ahead as distance learning courses instead.A distance learning lesson consist of two parts:

- Synchronous learning : real-time contact with your fellow students and your teacher in online classes

- Asynchronous learning: going through elaborate, guided course materials and doing online tasks and exercises on Canvas, the UvA’s online learning environment.Together these parts add up to a four hour lesson.

• Because the courses have a limited capacity, timely registration is recommended.• On the application form we ask you to indicate the course level that -you think- suits you best. Based on the

information obtained during our intake test (before the beginning of the course) we may however advise you to attend the course at a different level.

• This application form can only be used for one course. Once participating in a course there will be a different application procedure for those wanting to participate in the following level.

• Others may apply directly. They should fill in the application form and send it, before the start of their course, to: Email: intt@uva.nl

• An invoice will then be sent inviting immediate payment of the course fee.

• A refund is only possible if written cancellation (by letter or by e-mail) is received at least four weeks before the start of the course. A ten percent administration charge will be deducted from each refund.

• If there are less than 10 applicants for a group, the INTT reserves the right to cancel the group. Those who have already paid the course fee will of course be completely refunded.

2 This reduced fee applies to students in the framework of bilateral exchange programs of the UvA, to students participating in the international programmes of the UvA, to PhD students and UvA staff. If you qualify for this fee, please make sure the application form is signed by your UvA program coordinator or contact person at the UvA and send it before the start of the course to the INTT.
