in Lasallian Mission(Given at Rome, CIL 1979)

My Prayer to you Brothers(and t your partners) I beg of you, be faithful to the gift of God that has beenentrusted to you to teach. You are the only light today amongst the young people. The future of thewhole world depends on what you make them. Youcan make them and you can break them. You are theonly one that can, as a teacher stand before them asthe presence of Christ. May the young people

entrusted to you be able always to see Christ in youand like that filled with His purity and goodness, with

His justice because today, especially, the young aremisled and you are the people who have to lead them. Be that light to them. Be that light that will lead them to God. People are hungry especiallythe young people are hungry for God and you arethere to satisfy that hunger. Be faithful to the great

gift of God to you to be teachers, to be light: Hislight in the world amongst young people.

CLOSING SONG: GURO by Bayang Barrios

    O aking guro
