I AM AMONG YOU AS ONE WHO SERVES

LET US REMEMBER THAT WE ARE IN THE PRESENCE OF GOD.

IN THE NAME OF GOD OUR CREATOR WHO CALLS US,JESUS OUR REDEEMER WHO LEADS US,

AND THE SPIRIT OF OUR ANIMATOR WHO INSPIRES US, WE

PRAY

READING

An argument broke out among the disciples as to which one of them should be thought of as thegreatest. Jesus said to them, The kings of the pagan have power over their people, and therulers claim the title Friends of the People. But it not the way it is with you; rather, the greatestone among you must be like the youngest, and the leader must like the servant. Who is greaterthe one who sits down to eat or the one who serves him? The one who sits down of course. But Iam one among you as one who serves.

RESPONSE

Since you are ambassadors

and ministers of Jesus Christin the work that you do,

you must act as representing

Jesus Christ himself.

He wants your disciples to see him in you

and receives your teaching

as if he were teaching them

In order to fulfill your responsibility

with as much perfection and care

as God requires of you,

frequently give yourself to the spirit of our Lord

to act only under His influence

and not through any self-seeking.

RESPONSE

The spirit of the Lord will give him wisdom and

the knowledge and skill to rule his people.

He will know the Lords will

and have reverence for Him.

and find pleasure in obeying him.

He will not judge by appearance or

hearsay; he will judge the poor fairly

and defend the right of the helpless.

He will rule his people with justice and

integrity.

REFLECTION

There are only three kinds of leaders in schools today: the creators, the maintainers, and thedestroyersThe creators who lead our schools are those who set the tone, climate, and pace forthe attainment of excellence. They are also the ones who instill and generate the professionaattitudes and promote a positive approach to teaching and accomplishing all the works of theschool. First and foremost, those who are creators accept their position as the leaders of theschool. They understand that leading is total function. They make decisions out of strength

rather than weakness. They never lose sight of the fact that a fundamental value in a school is awell being of students. Every leadership action and decision must support this fundamentavalue.

PRAYERS OF PETITION

For the Church and her leaders, that love maybe apparent

in all their words and actions. We pray to the Lord. LORD HEAR OUR PRAYER

For world and nations leaders, that they may guide us

That all leaders may manifest humility and dedication

For presidents, principals, and all school leaders, that theynever lose sight of the fact that reason a school exists is

That awareness of Gods care for individuals may

Permeate all of our projects and plans. We pray to the Lord. LORD HEAR OUR PRAYER

That we may have the gifts of vision and service as we

Proclaim the good news in our lives. We pray to the Lord. LORD HEAR OUR PRAYER

PRAYER

We pray that we may be filled with the knowledge of Gods will in alspiritual wisdom and understanding, to lead a life worthy to the Lord,fully pleasing to Him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing inthe knowledge of God. May we be strengthened with all power
