Interview dialogue between Van Gogh and student

Van Gogh is wearing a straw hat and is holding some pictures.He says

Van Gogh: Hello, how are you?

Student: I am fine thank you

V.G. What is your name?

S: My name is ……..What is your name?

VG: My name is Van Gogh. Vincent Van Gogh.

S: Where are you from?I am from Ramla

VG: I am from Holland.

S: Where is Holland?

V.G: Holland is a little country in Europe?

Holland is famous for Tulips,

Windmills,

and wooden shoes called "CLOGS"

And me……

(Van Gogh shows the student and the class 4 pictures, as he says the words. A picture of tulips, a picture of a windmill, a picture of clogs, and a picture of himself)

S: and you?

V.G: Yes I am Vincent Van Gogh the famous painter.

S: What is your favorite color?

V.G: My favorite color is yellow.You can see a lot of yellow in my paintings.Yellow is a happy color, but some of my paintings have sad colors too.

(Van Gogh has a plaster/ band aid on his ear,)The student says:

S: What’s that on your ear?V.G: Oh it's nothing; it's just a little scratch.I had a little accident.

S: I have another question?Why do you not smile in your pictures?

V.G: Oh because I was very poor and I had no money for food, and so I bought paint with my money and not food.

S: Oh I am very sorry.

VG: Oh that's OK.

S: OK I don’t have anymore questionsThank you Vincent Van Gogh

VG: Thank you tooStars sparkling greenish yellow whiteAnd in my head a starry night.
