I FELONY ARRESTS___

WALKER — A Browden Street resident success-fully defended his home Tuesday night against an armed intruder, according to Walker Po-lice Public Information Officer Captain John Sharp.

The homeowner told police that he struggled with the intruder, who broke

in around 7 p.m. with

a .22 caliber revolver,

Sharp said.“During the struggle,

the handgun was fired twice; once inside the residence, and again when the struggle spilled out into the yard,” Sharp said.

Demarcus Ross, 24, of Zachary, received a su-perficial gunshot wound

in his left forearm, and the homeowner was hit in the head with the gun, Sharp said.

“Fortunately, neither of the injuries was seri-ous,” Sharp said.

When police ar-rived, they found Ross detained by the hom-eowner and a neighbor,

Sharp said.Ross was booked into

the Livingston Parish Detention Center for aggravated burglary of an inhabited dwelling and aggravated battery, Sharp said.

Ross told police that someone acquainted with the homeowner

had suggested the rob-bery, Sharp said.

“We are pursuing that possibility and addition-al arrests are possible,” Sharp said.

Ross remained in the Detention Center Wednesday with bond set at $70,000, Sharp said.

Nicholas Armstrong, 19, 35996 Portsmouth Dr., Denham Springs, was charged with posses-sion of Schedule I drugs with intent to distrib-ute, illegal carrying of a weapon and driving under suspension.

Darren Artieta, 35, 38060 Nan Wesley Road, Denham Springs, was charged with simple battery involving do-mestic violence, home invasion, entering or remaining on premises after being forbidden, simple criminal dam-age to property, aggra-vated flight from an offi-cer, resisting an officer, reckless operation and criminal trespassing.

Christopher Aucoin, 24, Aztec Dr., Denham Springs, was charged with simple burglary and possession of mari-juana.

Kimberly Badinger, 42, 155 Aspen Square Dr. Apt., Denham Springs, was charged with pos-session of Schedule II drugs with intent to distribute.

James Blount, 54, 13365 Vincent Place Ave., Denham Springs, was charged with acces-sory to molestation of a juvenile, accessory to indecent behavior with juveniles and accessory to contributing to the delinquency of juve-niles.

Dustin Braud, 40, 12187 Griffith Road, Gonza-les, was charged with operation and creation of a methamphet-amine lab, possession of Schedule II drugs, excessive noise, driv-ing under suspension and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Patrick Brewer, 50, 25156 West St., Denham Springs, was charged with failure to register as a sex offender.

Britton Britt-Walton, 28, 30697 Old River Road, Denham Springs, was charged with theft of goods, illegal use of a controlled drug in pres-ence of persons under 17, suppling a product for falsifying a screen-ing test and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Jeremy Buggage, 20, 13961 Azalea, Denham Springs, was charged with possession of Schedule I drugs with intent to distribute and illegal use of a con-trolled drug in presence of persons under 17.

Leonard Butler, 45, 13801 Parkway Dr., Denham Springs, was charged with possession of Schedule II drugs and possession of Schedule IV drugs.

Devin Carter, 25, 30299 George White Road, Holden, was charged with possession of Schedule II drugs, DWI, reckless operation, driving under suspen-sion and speeding.

Theodore Chapman, 18, 11362 Lemonwood Dr., Denham Springs, was

charged with posses-sion of Schedule I drugs with intent to distrib-ute, illegal use of a con-trolled drug in presence of persons under 17, contributing to the de-linquency of juveniles and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Gerald Clausen, 41, Bonnie Dr., Denham Springs, was charged with two counts of man-slaughter.

Dustin Daniels, 28, 16569 Katie Nicole Lane, Walker, was charged with speeding, driving under suspension and theft of a firearm.

Janese Foret, 52, 13364 Vincent Place, Denham Springs, was charged with accessory to mo-lestation of a juvenile, accessory to indecent behavior with juveniles and accessory to con-tributing to the delin-quency of juveniles.

Ruthie Gaboury, 37, 13667 Jim Tilley Road, Walker, was charged with possession of Schedule II drugs, possession of Schedule IV drugs, possession of Legend Drug with intent to distribute and theft of goods.

Christopher Harper, 30, 1211 Jason Dr., Denham Springs, was charged with principal to simple burglary.

William Harvey, 33, 39624 Hornsby Road, Denham Springs, was charged with posses-sion of Schedule IV drugs and disturbing the peace.

Samantha Hatton, 29, 30263 Eden Church Road, Lot F, Denham Springs, was charged with possession of Schedule II drugs, pos-session of Schedule IV drugs, possession of marijuana and posses-sion of drug parapher-nalia.

Mitchell Hines, 34, 432 Callier Lane, Poncha-toula, was charged with possession of Schedule II drugs.

Alisha Howze, 27, 14090 Glenn Ellis Road, Walker, was charged with bank fraud and felony theft.

Keith Humphrey, 48, Hwy. 16, Denham Springs, was charged with simple burglary and accessory to simple burglary.
