In the Old Testament, the Book of Ecclesiastes teaches us that, “Nothing is better for a man than that he should eat and drink, and that his soul should enjoy good in his labor . . . For God gives wisdom and knowledge and joy to a man who is good in His sight . . . To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven.” So when is the right time? When should our Lodges understand they have a duty to serve their membership; to know it is vitally important to the future of their Lodge that ALL officers attend leadership training; to grasp the importance of operating within a budget approved by the membership; to work closely with the leadership of the community to make the community a safer and better place in which to raise families; to work closely with the Women of the Moose to provide social activities for all ages; to support the programs of Moose International, never forgetting our obligation to care for our children in need at Mooseheart and our senior members at Moosehaven; to strengthen the image of the Moose organization – proud to have the name Moose in front of the building and even more proud to be known as the friendliest place in town? The time is now! When should our members play close attention to their obligation of membership; that they should give of their substance by giving of their time, their talent and their resources – helping Moose Charities in their plea for financial aid; in extending the hand of fellowship whenever possible to assist a Moose in need; in inviting their friends, relatives and business associates to join with them in their commitment to young and old by joining the Moose; to promote the many benefits of membership to those with whom they come in contact with on a daily basis; to participate in activities within their Lodge and their Association; to tell the greatest story never told – the story of sharing and caring and giving and receiving? The time is now! When should we step forward and offer ourselves for service – as committeemen or officers, or simply as volunteers – to work with projects that strengthens the foundation of our Lodge and develops the spirit of our existence? The time is now! The theme of the membership campaign to be introduced by Director of Membership Shawn Baile and Grand Chancellor Barb McPherson is, “The Time is Now!” Details of this campaign will be provided during the general sessions of both the Supreme Lodge and the Women of the Moose. However, the focal point of the entire campaign; the message that should be on the tongues of every member of the Moose leaving this convention, that should be spread across the cover of the next Moose Magazine and the front page of every fraternal publication within our Order is this – never pay dues again! Let the trumpets sound, let the bugles blare and let the drums roll out. Get the attention of EVERY Moose member. Tell them they never have to pay dues again! Shawn and Barb will outline a new and very different type of membership campaign and a template design for our campaigns of the future. Dave Krause wrote a poem entitled, “It Only Takes A Few”. Let me share his thoughts with you. It Only Takes a Few A group of ten cared about kids, and had an idea that was very fine But one was asked to donate money, and now there are only nine. Nine caring people, thought helping kids would “be great!” But one was asked to commit some spare time, and now there are only eight. Eight thought that a new youth center, would be a special gift from heaven. But one was asked to join a committee, and now there are only seven. Seven concerned about juvenile crime, wished it was something that they could fix. But one was asked to spend time with a teen, and now there are only six. Six were thankful for the gifts, they had acquired in their lives. But when asked about planned giving, the six soon became five. Five were frustrated, wishing for just a few more. But one became tired of people leaving, and suddenly there are four. Four people asking themselves, will the next one be me? One asked the question too many times, now they are down to three. With only three remaining, and so much work to do, One decides to just give up on kids, and now there are only two. But the two that remain are leaders, and to help kids they will find some more. They each call up their own best friend, and suddenly there are four! Four friends who share a common thought, helping kids is great! They each recruit their own personal banker, and now their team is eight. Soon these eight recruit eight more, and I think you will begin to see, That the number of people helping kids, can start with you and me. Now you can be like the eight who left, or be more like the final two. But when you make your decision, just please remember, . . . It only takes a few. Ordinary people can make an extraordinary difference! You and I can start a chain reaction that will deliver the results we are looking for quickly - results that will ensure that this fraternal Order will remain strong and productive for eternity, but we have to stop looking for the right time to begin. WOW!! What a great International Convention. Nashville is alive and well and doing great after the flood on May 1st and 2nd. Everyone was friendly and very hospitable and thanked us many times over for staying with Nashville for our Convention. Congratulations are extended to Rodney Hammond who was appointed to the Moosehaven Board, John Reiter who was appointed to the Moose Charities Board, Ed “Dad” Layton to the International Activities Committee and to Gloria Petrea for her appointment to the Academy Of Friendship Board. Congratulations to Levis Hughes for being selected as the Top Area Manager for the Moose Legion and of course Congratulations to Liguori Saladin for being one of the best Supreme

Governors ever of the Loyal Order Of Moose. Thanks Sal for the great job you did and the pride we have in knowing you represented us in your travels. “THE TIME IS NOW” is the new theme for this year. What exactly does that mean? Well simply put, THE TIME IS NOW for all of us to do what we said we would do when we took our oath as a member. THE TIME IS NOW to sponsor new members into our Fraternity. THE TIME IS NOW to give of our energy and substance for the support of Mooseheart and Moosehaven. THE TIME IS NOW to help with the Community Service Projects in our own community. THE TIME IS NOW to become more fraternal than ever before. THE TIME IS NOW to work together to make our Fraternity the best it has ever been, and to grow in numbers and financial strength. THE TIME IS NOW to get involved at the Lodge, Chapter and Moose Legion to make them the best in the Fraternity. Yes THE TIME IS NOW for you and me to get out and work even harder than we have in the past. THE TIME IS NOW to mentor those up and coming members in our Lodges, Chapters and Moose Legions to be the Fraternal Leaders of tomorrow. We can make a difference in the lives of others, positive or negative, and the TIME IS NOW to be positive, not negative. Well maybe that was not so simple, but I hope you understand what we as members need to do. Starting as of this Convention and from now on you have an opportunity to NEVER PAY DUES AGAIN. Yes, you are reading that right. If you sponsor and enroll 2 new or former members in the Fraternity you will get your next years dues paid for you. Next year if you sponsor and enroll 2 members you will get them paid for the next year and so on and so on. LOOM and WOTM both have this opportunity. The Moose Legion has adopted this program as well, just think all you have to do is find 2 friends, relatives or associates to join each year and you will never pay dues again. I know you Life Members are saying “what about me?”, well you can benefit as well. If you have a multiple membership in another Lodge other than the Lodge where you are a Life Member your dues will be paid in the second Lodge. If you do not have a multiple membership you receive a gift of a Picture Frame with an Alarm Clock. I am looking forward to working with the members of the FBMA. I know I have some big shoes to fill and will work hard to fill them. I am asking for your support to take the FBMA to the top. We always lead the way in pure numbers when it comes to applications, monies donated and so forth, but we just never seem to be able to attain Top Association. It is not impossible, just hard and I promise I will work hard at it if you will. It is all about percentages. I know in my heart that we in the FBMA can and will make it happen. THE TIME IS NOW to start that process. Fraternally, Jerry Monk, Regional Manager

The Time is Now for all good Florida coworkers to come to the aid of their Chapters! We were not number one in Membership! Why? Retention, Retention, Retention! WE are not keeping our members, partly because they have nothing to do. As DGR, I have observed that many Boards of Officers are not Leaders! They are Workers! The Chapter Development Chairman are not holding their monthly Committee meetings, where they plan their Chapters Activity Night program and their Fund Raising project to present to the Board of Officers for Chapter approval. They are selling the Florida Coworkers short. Most Women have a great Love for Children and Seniors and want to do everything they can to improve their lives! They are not given the opportunity to help in our Great Organization. The Time is Now! Won't you please start now to have a working, vibrant Chapter where everyone would want to stay because they have important work to do. Here is a story we can all live by: An elderly Chinese woman had two large pots, each hung on the ends of a pole which she carried across her neck. One of the pots had a crack in it while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water. At the end of the long walks from the stream to the house, the cracked pot arrived only half full. For a full two years this went on daily, with the woman bringing home only one and a half pots of water. Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments, but the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection and miserable that it could only do half of what it had been made to do. After two years of what it perceived to be bitter failure, it spoke to the woman one day by the stream, “I am ashamed of myself, because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your house.” The old woman smiled, “Did you notice that there are flowers on your side of the path, but not on the other pot’s side? That’s because I have always known about your flaw, so I planted flower seeds on your side of the path and every day while we walk back you watered them. For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to bring joy to others. Without you being just the way you are, there would not be this beauty to grace our house.” Each of us has our own unique flaw. But it’s the cracks and flaws we each have that make our lives together so very interesting and rewarding. You’ve just got to take each person for what they are and look for the good in them. I admit it is very hard sometimes, but it can be done. Some flaws will not keep them from being very good chairmen. So, to all of my cracked pot friends of the WOTM, have a great day and remember to smell the flowers on your side of the path! Make our Chapters strong. The Time is Now! Congratulations to our Shining Star Linda Mulligan, Incoming Deputy Grand Regent Phyllis Jewett and to someone who has brought me much joy as a Cracked Pot, International Academy of Friendship Board Member Gloria Petrea. Way to go! Love and Blessings, Madeline Skiba DGR

FROM THE DESK OF THE PRESIDENT

MESSAGE FROM THE DEPUTY GRAND REGENT

We are all looking forward to a great International Convention this July. Somehow Moose International has put the convention back together after the flood disaster. I hope many of the FBMA members will attend these meeting and bring back important information to their Lodges. I know we all welcome our new Regional Manager Jerry Monk and will support him one hundred percent. Jerry is not new to any of us and has always been an FBMA member. With all our support, Jerry will keep us "Number One". We all wish Rodney Hammond a happy retirement, good fishing and great golf. Rodney will be missed by all of us, but will be around for many years to answer our questions. I hope Moose International finds a way to keep Rodney in the loop and utilize his many talents. Good luck Brother! We are set for our Full Board Meeting this July and will be discussing many of the items we will have learned about at the International Convention. Our Lodges are working hard on membership and retention. New awards for both will be announced at our Convention this October in Tampa. Congratulations to all eleven of our new Pilgrims. The list is out regarding their Pilgrim Presentation Dates. Please try to attend the ones in your area. At the International Convention we will have a Conferral of new Fellows. When they return from the Convention let them all know how proud we are of them. Hope to see you all at our October Convention. Fraternally, Steve DelCorso, President FBMA

Just back from the International Convention in Nashville and I would have to say that while some people had some shuttle problems, overall everything went well. The membership campaign for the coming year is “THE TIME IS NOW!” and anyone signing up a two new members and the Lodge reporting them as enrolled will get a free years dues. The additional membership program is called “NEVER PAY DUES AGAIN” so let’s go member sponsors, get to work. Jerry Monk assumed the Regional Manager’s job for the FBMA on July 2, 2010. Be sure and work with Jerry and give him the same cooperation as was given to Rodney Hammond. There were some appointments made during the convention and they are as follows: Rodney Hammond to the Moosehaven Board of Directors John Reiter to the Moose Charities Board of Directors Ed Layton to the Activities Committee which includes Sports Arthur (Dale) Brown, Deputy Supreme Governor (North) Robert Lanigan Deputy Supreme Governor (South) Gloria Petrea to the Academy of Friendship Board

Phyllis Jewett Incoming Deputy Grand Regent There has been some discussion concerning the fact that the FBMA was not going to have a cocktail party at the Annual Convention to celebrate Rodney Hammond’s retirement. The matter was discussed by the Executive Committee and it was decided to do something to honor Rodney for contributions to the Fraternity and more specifically to the FBMA. A scholarship program is being set up that will give a student a $1,000.00 scholarship and will be know as the Rodney Hammond Scholarship. This will be drawn at the Annual Convention in October each year immediately following the R. Robert Dale Scholarship drawing. The Executive Committee felt that the Rodney Hammond Scholarship would be more fitting and lasting then just spending a great deal of money for a cocktail party. The matter was discussed with Rodney and he is agreement with the proposed program. Never let it be said that Rodney Hammond should not be honored for his service to the FBMA and the Fraternity. Kissimmee Moose Lodge 2056 is planning a great retirement party for Rodney on August 14-15, 2010 and I would encourage anybody interested to attend. All Lodges, Chapters and Moose Legions have been asked by Kissimmee Lodge to make donations to this affair. Information is on the website for the Annual State Convention to be held on October 21-24, 2010. The Quorum Hotel has changed its name to the Wyndham so do not get excited, the phone number is the same. Forms should be in the Courier and are available on the website at www.floridamoose.org. FRATERNAL EDUCATION CORNER

FROM THE DESK OF THE ASSOCIATION SECRETARY

I knew that stepping into David Flood’s shoes was going to be difficult but I had no idea how big those shoes were. I began as Chairman on May 1 which happened to be in the middle of all the Leadership Training classes being held. Thankfully, the training portion was in good hands and the interesting occurrences were handled with little problem. This year the Leadership classes had new information and textbooks from Moose International and the Trainers did a fine job in getting the material to those who attended. Some classes only had a few attend and others were packed with participants. I want to thank all the Lodges that hosted a session, the Trainers for their dedication and all those who attended the sessions. Meanwhile, some of you may have noticed that the 2 day Hands On Technical Training (H.O.T.T) classes were filled right away. Let me help explain why they fill up so quickly. Based on information from Moose International co-workers working toward the Star Recorder Degree must attend a 2 day HOTT session each year to satisfy Star Recorder Degree requirement 113.6 of the WOTM General Laws. Basically, there is a 16-month credit period for attendees. If a co-worker attends a 2 day HOTT

class between January 1, 2010 and April 1, 2011 she will receive credit for the 2010-2011 Chapter year. (This allows interested co-workers to attend a session before elections). For Star Recorders wanting to run for re-election, they must have attended a 2 day HOTT within two calendar years of the date of nomination. For example, if the current Recorder attended a 2 day HOTT in February 2009 or later, she would be eligible to run for re-election for the 2011-2012 Chapter year. Education is the key for all of us. Fraternally, Jerry Thompson, FEC chairman

BLOOMING BEAUTIES

ORANGE PARK, Florida - Our garden was in full bloom on the 27th of May, as seventeen of our Life Care residents blossomed in front of a panel of four highly esteemed judges from our local community. We had Jill Buie, Director of Community Relations from Orange Park Medical center; Margery Flannagan, Marketing Director from Life Care of Orange Park; Ms Gabrielle Mendhi, Director of Quality Care and Jaclyn Slaybaugh, Director of Tourism and Film for Clay County. The house was standing room only as our ladies glided or in some cases floated across the stage escorted by the Life Care Staff: Debra Ryan, MDS Coordinator, Susan Hopkins, Social Worker and Ann Cronin, Staff Coordinator and Infection Control. The supporting staff off stage came from the Activity

Department: Althea Artis, Theresa Clark, Glenda Lee and Polly Rhoden. They kept things running smoothly, while serving our guests fruit and cheese accompanied with a bouquet of wine. Dottie Benson, one of last year's Queens, officiated over the pageant. She, along with the help of Dietary aide Keisha Ulee, and the other candidates gave a wonderful rendition of In the Garden. The back drop of this event was blue skies, fluffy clouds and rolling green grass of a park-like setting, complete with the candidates sitting on wooden park benches. Flowers and huge butterfly balloons floated about as the judges had the difficult task of judging this group of beauties on their inner and outer beauty, poise and personality. Ms Moosehaven 2010 contestants were Mia Brazil, Theresa Cook, Louise Dion, Barbara Grubb, Lillian Henning, Addie Ingram, Helen Kelley, Sue Luman, Carole McCoy, Ida Orcutt, Lee Printz, Isabell Renehan, Hazel Tennity, Cathryn Walther, Jeanne Williford and Verna Wilson. The anticipation mounted as each resident came forth and answered questions about number of years married, how many children and grandchildren, and we discovered a few even had great grandchildren. The one question that seemed to have a unanimous answer was, "What does beauty mean to you?" Every lady in the pageant had their own version of the answer, that beauty is not found in the way a person looks. But, in how a person allows the God given light of life to burst forth and shine, while guiding one through the course of their own life, which defines true beauty. Congratulations and Good Luck to the runner up Ms Verna Wilson and to our 2010 Ms Moosehaven Queen Carole McCoy as they go on to represent Moosehaven in the Ms Senior Clay County Beauty Pageant to be held on the 17th of June. Excepted from article published in the July Moosehaven Resident Newsletter written by Cricket Briley-Granger, Life Care Activities Director

NEWS UPDATE On June 17, 2010 Verna Wilson, sponsored into

Moosehaven by Maplewood, Missouri Lodge 1086, became Moosehaven's second annual winner of the Ms. Clay County Senior Beauty Pageant! The same crown had been won in 2009 by Rita Gabbert, sponsored into Moosehaven by Columbus, Ohio Lodge 11.

2010 Mooseheart Graduates Kristen Thornburg and Jacob Stryker (who were guest speakers at the International Convention in Nashville) and Mooseheart Executive Director Scott Hart

MESSAGE FROM EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR SCOTT HART

Enter to Learn, Leave to Serve Whether our seniors have lived at Mooseheart for thirteen years or only three, when the calendar page flips to the month of May, butterflies start to swarm inside their stomachs. Will all the preparation, all the training; all the classroom and life experiences now come together in a determined focus on achieving great things in adulthood? Only time will tell, as these young ladies and men move off into college, military service and careers. The dreams of a young heart will lead some to pursue nursing, automotive mechanics or elementary education and others to join the United States Armed Forces or study at a technical school. Whatever path they choose, they move on well equipped to meet the challenges of life with a faithful Moose fraternity backing them all the way. The Class of 2010 ‘s senior year officially “kicked-off” at the Senior Ring Ceremony on Sunday, September 11th at the St. Charles Moose Lodge No.1368. The final gathering of the seniors in a formal setting, prior to being onstage together during the commencement exercises, was on Sunday, May 16th at the St. Charles Moose Lodge No. 1368 during the Senior Laptop presentation. How fitting that the first and last significant activities of the senior class occurred inside the protective shelter of a Moose Lodge, spending time with their extended family. On Saturday, May 22nd, as our seniors reach out to accept their high school diploma from Board Chair Tommy Hatcher, the final piece of the puzzle will be in place and the transition from childhood to adulthood at Mooseheart will be complete. They have been taught that it is far greater to give than to receive –

a message that the members of the Moose fraternity model for our children every day of the year. The members of the Class of 2010 will now have the opportunity to enjoy the independence of adulthood and help bear the responsibility of citizenship. Citizenship that calls us to stand up for what is right and true and just. To pitch in and lead by example when others only what to lend their voice. To respect their elders and to help those who are less fortunate. In all things, in all manners and in all situations, continue to live by the Mooseheart Motto, “Enter to Learn, Leave to Serve.” Congratulations to the Class of 2010! COMMUNITY SERVICE and FUNDRAISING

LEISURE CITY SUPPORTS RELAY FOR LIFE

HOMESTEAD, Florida - Leisure City’s Loyal Order of the Moose and Women of the Moose raised more than $6,000 for the American Cancer Society’s annual Relay for Life campaign. The Relay for Life fundraising effort culminated in a two-day event held May 15th and 16th, 2010, at Homestead Hospital. The Loyal Order of the Moose and Women of the Moose, both philanthropic organizations, used e-mail solicitations, t-shirt sales, a chili cook-off and baked-goods auctions over a period of five months to raise the record-setting sum from members and the general public. One member had vowed in January to cut her long hair off if the fundraising goal of $5,000 was reached. She followed through on that promise on May 30th, when ten inches of her hair was lopped off and donated to Locks of Love, a charitable organization that uses human hair to make wigs for cancer stricken youths. In the spirit of giving, other members showed their support by having their hair cut as well, or by having their beards and mustaches shaved off. Take the time to contact members who have not been coming to Chapter meetings and/or to the Lodge Home for functions/events or who have simply dropped out of sight and mind. Contact can be by way of a phone call, email, postcard, newsletter, or better yet, visit the member in person. Call ahead but stop by for a “how’s it going” visit. Ask if there is anything you can do to assist the member. Maybe she is in need of a ride to and from the meetings. Visit the Women of the Moose Portal at www.mooseintl.org to download the Retention Handbook and Ideas

WOMEN OF THE MOOSE

GET ON BARB’S BUS The Energy Bus is written by John Gordon. It is a story of a man who had a bad outlook on his life, his work and yes even his family. “It’s Monday morning and George walks out the front door to his car and a flat tire. When he saw the flat tire, he thought about the spare in the trunk but remembered that it too was low on air. In fact his wife had told him he needed to fill it because he was going to need it some day. When he opened the trunk, there was the spare – flat. He had to get to work on time that day as he had a big job he was working on and he simply had to be there. He remembered that his neighbor also worked downtown and ran to his house to see if he was still home but when he arrived, nope, he was gone. Too late! George really didn’t want to ask his wife for her car because he knew she would bring up the spare in the trunk but he had no choice. He walked back home, went into the house and told his wife what had happened and asked if he could use her car or if she could take him to work. She said “George, I told you to get that spare fixed. You know I have a lot to do today. If I take you to work, I’ll be late taking the kids to school, then late for the dentist and the vet and my whole day will be ruined. I just can’t do it. You’ll have to ride the bus.” Well, as you can guess, George didn’t like riding the bus and tried to come to an agreement with his wife but there was no compromise. So George headed the four blocks to the bus. Now, I must add that by now, George is miffed and doesn’t want to ride the bus. The number 11 bus pulled up to the stop, the door opened and George stepped on the bus. The bus driver said “Good mornin’ sugar!” George just glared, put his money in the box and took his seat. Unbeknownst to George, he was in for the ride of his life! His home life is in shambles and his team at work is in disarray. With a big new product launch coming up in 2 weeks for the NRG-2000 he has to find a way to get it together or risk losing his marriage and job. Forced to take the bus to work, George meets a unique kind of bus driver and an interesting set of characters (passengers) that over the course of 2 weeks share the 10 rules for the ride of his life… and attempt to help him turn around his work and team and save his job and marriage from an almost inevitable destruction. The moral to the story is you are the driver of your bus and only you control where your bus is headed. Sort of like your Chapter. If you start the year and say “we’ll never make it”, I assure you, you never will. But if you live your life with a positive attitude, it will become contagious and you will be successful. In the Energy Bus book, the author talks about the 10 rules for the ride of your life. I am certain that if applied, will ensure that your Chapter is successful this year. 1. You’re the Driver of the Bus. 2. Desire, Vision and Focus move your bus in the right direction. 3. Fuel your Ride with Positive Energy. 4. Invite People on Your Bus and Share your Vision for the Road Ahead. 5. Don’t Waste Your Energy on those who don’t get on your Bus. 6. Post a Sign that says “No Energy Vampires Allowed” on your Bus. 7. Enthusiasm attracts more Passengers and Energizes them during the Ride. 8. Love your Passengers. 9. Drive with Purpose. 10. Have Fun and Enjoy the Ride. Excepted from Grand Chancellor Barbara McPherson’s Keynote Address delivered July 2, 2010 in Nashville, Tennessee

FLORIDA SHERIFFS YOUTH RANCHES

“Harmony in the Streets” Bridges Youth and Local Law Enforcement

Harmony in the Streets is a Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches mobile camping program held throughout Florida during the summer months. This program brings unique services directly into local communities who may be socially and/or economically challenged. The Harmony in the Streets Program helps children develop and retain a high level of self-esteem, learn how to utilize free time in a positive manner and teach and lead others by role modeling positive leadership skills. The program also teaches youngsters to help foster the acceptance of others and to discover and learn to appreciate the cultural differences of others in the community. Four camping leadership teams travel the state from June to August. Each team is made up of a site director and five supporting staff members. According to Camp Director Lauri Quick, camp sizes ideally consist of 60-65 children, but attendance has ranged from as few as 15 attendees to as many as 93. The campers are divided into 4 groups, usually by age and gender, and given team names. The summer camps last a week. Campers take part in a variety of activities including: arts and crafts, challenge courses, team sports, anti-bullying instruction, water games and aerobics. Local law enforcement agencies take an active role in supporting the camps by helping set up the program activities and performing law enforcement demonstrations such as K-9, SWAT or other law enforcement teams. Harmony in the Streets ultimately serves three purposes. The primary goal of the program is to give children something fun and safe to do during the summer months. Second, by being mobile, the camps help spread awareness of the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches to areas of state that otherwise might not be familiar with the agency and the services we provide. And lastly, the camps allow children to meet their local law enforcement officers in a safe environment where the kids can see that “law officers are their friends”. Would you like to help us teach Florida’s children how to grow into healthy and productive adults? To join the cause, please contact Frank Kenny, Donor Relations Officer at 1-800-765-3797. F.B.M.A. STATE GOLF TOURNAMENT RESULTS

By now we are all back from the International Convention in Nashville. But it’s hard to forget what a great time we had at the State Golf Tournament in Inverness. Citrus Hills Golf Club was in excellent shape. We had 36 holes to try our best shots on. The Gals and Guys all had a good time and some went home with nice trophies. I presented the new Traveling Plaques for Low Gross and Low Net. The Low Gross is in honor of Past Regional Manager Rodney Hammond and the Low Net is in honor of past Supreme Governor Liguori Saladin. The winners are listed below with the rest of the results. Lodge Administrator Richard Roberts, Dickey Bob, as he is known by all, did a fantastic job and had all the help anyone could need. The men and woman of the Lodge all worked together to make our stay one to remember. To name them all and the jobs they did would be impossible. A special thanks to John and Sharlyn Reiter and Joyce Del Corso for the fine job on getting the score sheets out as quickly as they did. The new system John used has proved to be a big help. Now it’s time to move on to our next venture, which happens to be the Woman’s Pool Tournament. On July 9th, 10th and 11th the Ladies will be at Orlando Lodge #766 for three days of fun on the pool tables.

The results will be in the next issue. It is the first of July and as of now I have only received one application for 2011. By the time you read this the committee will have awarded the Jack and Jill Mixed Pool Tournament and the State Golf Tournament for 2011. The rest of the tournaments will be awarded the first week of November. Any tournament not bid will be awarded to a Lodge at my discretion. Lodges that have hosted a tournament have helped the economy of the Lodge and had a whole lot of fun doing it. What better way to bring your members together? Before I close I want to mention that some of the Lodges in the state are having Invitational Tournaments to raise money for their Lodges. If you think you would like to have one, let me know and I will get you to the right people. That’s all for now, but I want you to remember THINK FUN ! ED LAYTON F.B.M.A. SPORTS CHAIRMAN

During the contest, Kohl’s Facebook fans can vote for public or private schools that serve K-12 students by visiting www.facebook.com/kohls. Fans can submit their ideas for what the school could do with half a million dollars. A winning school must have a least one submission about how the funds might be used. Fans can also vote up to 20 times for their favorite elementary, middle or high schools during this time, with a maximum of five votes for any individual school. The top 20 vote-getting schools, that meet contest criteria as outlined in the Official Rules and have school officials provide information on how the school will use the money to support educational programs or initiatives, will win $500,000 each.
