PurposeThe reason I am doing this project is to see how many popcorn kernels are in each bag after being poppped.
HypothesisI think that Pop Weaver’s will have the least
amount of unpopped kernels because it comes from Wal-Mart and it has the most butter.
The Materials 9 plastic cups 3 bags of Clancy
brand popcorn 3 bags of Essential
Everyday popcorn (County Market)
3 bags of Pop Weavers popcorn
Microwave Tray
1.Buy supplies for the experiment. 2.Pop 1 bag of Clancy's popcorn for 1
minute and 45 seconds. 3.Let microwave cool for a half hour. 4.Dump bag of popcorn onto a tray. 5.Put popped popcorn kernels back into the
bag.
The Procedure
6.Count the unpopped popcorn kernels. 7.Put them in a plastic cup and label the
cup C1 and write the number of kernels you counted on the cup.
8. Repeat steps 2-7 two more times for the Clancy's brand popcorn.
The Procedures
9.Repeat steps 2-7 for 3 Pop Weavers brand popcorn.
10.Repeat steps 2-7 for 3 bags of Essential Everyday popcorn.

How many unpopped popcorn kernels?
trial 1trial 2trial 3unpopped
popcorn ker-nels
Our conclusion is that Pop Weavers popcorn popped the most popcorn. Our hypothesis was right. We think that it is the better popcorn because it comes from Wal-Mart and everyone shops there and it is open 24 hours a day. Next time we do this project we could count the kernels that popped and use different brands of popcorn.
Conclusion
I would like to thank MRS.BUSCHER for buying our supplies we needed to do this project. SHELLY for letting us use her microwave to pop our popcorn. MRS.LARSEN for letting us come down to MRS.BUSCHER’S room to get the popcorn and plastic cups during our class time. EVELYN for helping clean up our mess.
