“Hymn Sermon”

Ephesians 2:1- 8

Grace, grace,God’s grace, grace that will pardon and cleanse

within!

Grace, grace,God’s grace, grace that isgreater than

all our sin!

Grace, grace,God’s grace, grace that will pardon and cleanse

within!

Grace, grace,God’s grace, grace that is greater than

all our sin!

Ephesians 2:1 – 8

The Message

You filled your lungs with polluted

unbelief, and then exhaled disobedience.

He took our sin-dead lives

and made us alive in Christ.

Saving is all His idea, and all His work.

All we do is trust Him enough to let Him do it.

God does both the making and

the saving.

Ephesians 2:1As for you,

you were dead in your

transgressionsand sins…

:5 – (God) made us

alive with Christ

even when we were dead in

transgressions -

It is by Grace

you have been saved!

:7 – [He did this that]

He might show the incomparable riches

of His Grace…

:8 – For it is by Graceyou have been saved,

through faith –and this not

of yourselves, it is the

GIFT OF GOD!

MERCYis not

getting what you

deserve;

GRACEis getting what you

don’t deserve.

From sinking sandHe lifted me;

with tender hand,He lifted me!

From shades of night

to planes of Light,oh, praise the Lord,

He lifted me!

I will praise Him!

I will praise Him!

Praise the Lambfor sinners

slain!

Give Him glory

all ye people,for His Blood

can wash away

each stain.

Nothing but the Blood of

Jesus!

Nothing but the Blood of

Jesus!

Nothing but the Blood of

Jesus!

Nothing but the Blood of

Jesus!

So, I’ll cherishthe Old

Rugged Cross,‘til my trophies

at last I lay down.

I will cling to the Old

Rugged Crossand exchange

it,someday,

for a crown.

Amazing Love,how can it be,

that Thou, my God,

shouldst die for me?

Now I belong to Jesus,

Jesus belongs to me –

not for the years of time alone,

but for eternity!

I will pour wateron him

who is thirsty;I will pour floods

upon the dry ground.

Open your heart

for the gift I am bringing, while you are seeking Me,

I will be found!

Jesus paid it all;all to Him I owe.

Sin had left acrimson stain; He washed it

white as snow!

Hallelujah!I have

found Him –Whom my

soulso long

had craved!

Jesus satisfiesmy longings;

through His BloodI now am saved.

When we’ve been there ten thousand

years,bright, shining

as the sun,

We’ve no less daysto sing

God’s praisethan when

we first begun!
