2004 Oxidation Oxidation O 0212 Hydroperoxide Oxidation of Benzylamines Catalyzed by Selenium Compounds. — Ebselen and three other selenium compounds are used as catalysts for the hydrop- eroxide oxidation of some primary and secondary amines. Ebselen proves to be the most effective and selective catalyst furnishing predominantly corresponding nitriles form primary amines and nitrones from secondary amines (IX), respectively.
