During dry weather conditions the ow to the treatment works willpass underneath the screens in the dry weather ow channel.

In a storm event the inow rate to the chamber will exceed theoutow rate causing water levels to rise within the chamber and spillthrough the screens.

The Hydro-Static Screen is mounted over the dry weather owchannel so that the ow passes up and through the screen during astorm event (red arrows). Solids and oatables are trapped below thescreen and returned to the sanitary continuation ow (brown arrow).Screened euent is discharged to a receiving waterway (blue arrow).

An emergency overow weir is incorporated into the screen shouldthe peak design ow be exceeded.

    High Capacity

    Wet Weather Screen

The Hydro-StaticScreen is a non-powered screening technologysuitable or sites with inrequent overows.

With a small ootprint and a low capital cost, the Hydro-StaticScreen oers an economically sustainable screen or projects withlimited budgets.

The Hydro-Static Screen is available as either an Up Flow Screen or a Through Flow Screen.

    C o n f i g u r a t i o n s

Patented ow-modiying baes provide partialcleansing in the Up Flow confguration minimizingmaintenance requirements.

The mesh screen panels are coated in a non-stickpolymer to keep debris rom sticking to the screen.

The Hydro-Static Screen is unique because o owmodiying components which enhance the naturallyoccurring recirculation patterns and thereore reducethe blinding eect when the screen is in operation.

    The Hydro-Static Screen is sized or a loading rateo 148 gpm/t2 (100 l/s/m2).

The Hydro-Static Screen is oered as a package with thecomponents pre-installed in a pre-cast concrete chamber.

    Through Flow Screen

The Through FlowHydro-Static Screen is oset rom thevertical to encourage screenings to drop away rom the

corrugated mesh once the storm has subsided.

    Up Flow Screen

The Up FlowHydro-Static Screen in the Upow confguration ismounted horizontally over the dry weather ow channel so that the

ow passes up and through the screen in a storm event.
