• KnowthetruerelationshipbetweenPRESSUREandFLOW.• Knowthe7FUNDAMENTALPRINCIPLESthatunderpintheoperationofallhydraulicsystems.• RecognisetheSYMBOLSusedtoformulatecircuitdiagrams.• KnowtheFUNCTIONandOPERATIONofthemajorcircuitcomponents.• RealisetheimportanceofgoodCONTAMINATIONCONTROLPROCEDURES.• KnowtheSAFEWORKINGPRACTICEStofollowatalltimes.• BUILDandSET-UPworkingcircuitsfollowingrecommendedprocedures.

• Knowthebasicelectricalprinciplesandtheirimportancetomodernindustrialcontrolsystems.• Knowthefunctionandapplicationofcommonelectrical/electroniccomponents.• Beabletoexplainvariousmethodsofprovidingelectricalpowersupply.• Beabletoidentifycabletypes,terminationmethodsusedandtheirapplications.• Beabletoidentifycomponentsymbolsandinterpretmanufacturerstechnicaldocumentationtosafely
handle,install,commissionandfaultfindofthesedevicesinasystemsenvironment.• Knowtherecommendedmethodsusedforsafefault-findingonan“IntegratedSystem“involvingthe
