    OK, this month we're going to put the Griffinplayer under the hammer again and this timearound we're going to test not only their skillsbut also their luck...OBJECTIVESThe Griffin player must reach the exit of thelaboratory and evacuate at least one warrior ofany rank. The Scorpion player must eliminateall of the Griffin warriors.INSTRUCTIONSThe entrance, exit and LevelA are already laidout on the map ready for play to begin. TheScorpion player has multiple choices fordeployment of warriors, the rank and trooptotals are laid out in the table as normal.The Griffin player must make his waythrough LevelA. As soon as one of the Griffinwaniors reaches either the doorway orthepassage leading to Level B, the Grifiin playermust make a dice roll and consult the followingtable.ROLL1-56 - 10

    The Griffin player may add +2 to theirdice roll if they successfully activate ObjectiveCounter 1 as shown on the map for LevelA.Once the roll has been made and theresult calculated the Scorpion player lays outthe floor tiles as shown on the map anddeploys his forces in accordance with the table- all new Scorpion warriors deployed in LevelB are now given activation counters continuingfrom the last.EXAMPLE: The Scorpion player has 3warriors left when the first Griffin miniaturecrossed into Level B. His warriors possess theactivation counters 2, 3 and 4 - the new

    Scorpion warriors receive their activationcounters starting with 5 and join the game as ifthey'd been available from the start.Regardless of the difficulty of the Level Bcurrently being played; there are 2 moreObjective Counters -A and B - these unlock theircorresponding doors (leading to LevelC) andmust be activated before the Grifiin player canpass through. In addition to this the Easy versionof Level B also contains a third Objective Counter- 2 - this will affect the roll upon entering Level Cif a Griffin warrior is able to activate it by grantinghim +1. As with entering Level B, as soon as aGriffin warrior crosses through either doorA or Bthe Grifiin player must make a roll and consult thetable below for the result.ROLL1-78-10

    As soon as the first Grifiin warrior enters Level Cthe Scorpion player undertakes the samedeployment of miniatures and activation countersas listed above for Level B, following the troopand rank totals in the table.SPECIAL RULESShould the Griffin player possess a warrior withthe ability Mineclearer,'that miniature mayundertake to destroy the doorways between thelevels, thereby reducing the number of enemyminiatures the Griffin player must face andpreventing the Scorpion player from being able toattack from both the front and the rear. To do this,follow the instructions for the ability Minecleareras laid out on the back of the Griffin Minelayercard, and lay ONE mine on any of the squarescovered by a doorway or passage where twolevels meet. Once the mine is set the Griffinplayer can choose to sacrifice the activation ofone of his miniatures and detonate the mines

    instead. lf a mine is successfully detonated thedoonruay or passageway is considered to beblocked for the rest of the game.
