WHO WE ARE

For 40 years, Habilitative Systems, Inc. (HSI) has provided a service haven for many of Chicago’s most vulnerable and disadvantaged residents - people with mental illness, developmental disabilities, veterans, ex-offenders, the unemployed, elderly, homeless, youth and families at risk.

40 YEARS OF COMMUNITY IMPACTHeadquartered on the west-side of Chicago, Illinois, HSI offers behavioral and mental health services to Chicago’s neediest citizens. Through the commitment of our employees, volunteers and donors, HSI’s programs and supportive services have vastly improved the lives of Chicago’s most disadvantaged and vulnerable residents in the North Lawndale, West Garfield, Austin and Englewood communities.

In July 2018, HSI will launch the Westside Community Triage and Wellness Center to address the need for expanded mental health programs, addiction treatment and prevention, and trauma-related services

CELEBRATING 40 YEARS OF SUCCESS

Jazz with Pizzazz is a celebration of HSI’s rich legacy of service and leadership in the community. This highly-anticipated annual event has featured notable jazz artists such as Whitney Houston, Luther Vandross, Roy Ayers and more.

HSI’s 25th Anniversary honored nationally acclaimed radio personality Tom Joyner, and then-State Senator Barack Obama attended the sold-out event which featured performances by smooth jazz artist KEM and R&B singer Seleena Johnson.

This year is HSI’s 40th anniversary, and we will honor our legacy, salute our remarkable honorees, and enjoy a stellar performance by top name entertainment during a celebration at the Hyatt Regency Chicago on October 13, 2018.
