In 2000, SK Chemicals and Samyang Corpo-ration created Huvis, the top fiber company in Korea, by combining their most advanced technology, know-how, and the world’s best production capacity. Huvis, the leading chemical fiber producer in Korea, operates manufacturing plants in Jeonju, China, and R&D Center in Daejeon. The company produces one million tons of fiber materials per year including polyester fibers, polyester resin, super fibers and industrial materials.

Subsidiary Company

Sichuan Huvis Chemical Fiber Co., Ltd, located in Zigong City, Sichuan Province, China, is a joint venture between Huvis (Korea) and Sichuan Polyester Corporation in China. It produces the largest amount of conjugate fiber in the world, and produces differentiated products like LMF and microfib-er. While concentrating on the domestic Chinese market (about 80%), it is actively trying to make inroads into the markets of more than 40 countries including the US, Canada Russia, Turkey and Southeast Asia. Thanks to its commitment to ongo-ing R&D, the company advanced into the applied fields of chemical fibers, such as sanitary materials and non-woven fibers for automobiles, architectural and agricultural materials. Starting in 2015, the company has sought to focus on increasing the sales of differentiated and highly profitable products including Hygiene bico and its eco-friendly product, ECOPET, in the Chinese market.
