Hvar for allHvar za sveProject of Secondary school of Hvar
„Promocija i jačanje kompetencija strukovnih zanimanja za turizam 2019.”
Theme of the project is
Tourism for all!
Did you know?
There are 1 billion people in the world with disabilities
Tourism for all promotes universal accessibility!
Tourism for all means:
To this end we started to think about our new project!
How it allbegan?
Why thistheme -Tourism for all?
We have noticed that the town of Hvar has few facilities for tourists with disabilities.
On the other hand, many Croatian destinations have already introduced such facilities.
In Hvar there are no tourist facilities for the blind and visually impaired, such as tourist leaflets on braille, tactile maps, orientation plans of the town ...
Such promotional materials portray space and reality in a completely different way
Moreover, they are also useful to other groups of tourists who come to our island, such as families with young children, people with various physical, mental, intellectual or sensory difficulties (primarily the blind and visually impaired, autistic people, people with Down syndrome), children up to 17, people over 55 with low income.
Therefore, as for the main guidelines of our project we set the following:
to provide tourism infrastructure for vulnerable social groups in order to ensure them quality and varied vacations appropriate to their needs, all according to European Union standards
To cooperate with Public Authorities (Tourist Board, The town of Hvar)
to offer a new tactile tourism experience of Hvar for all groups of people, bearing in mind that tourist trips should not be a privilege of the rich
The right to holidays and leisure is a fundamental human right
Tourism is becoming accessible to everyone today and is free from obstacle
Communication with the market is changing, increasingly responding to the needs of vulnerable groups of the tourism market
Our town is a town that offers more than summer, sun, sea and parties.
Hvar is an island for all, a town that accepts everyone and offers facilities for all groups of tourists, not just the young and the rich
It is possible to raise the public awareness of the importance of developing social tourism through numerous educations of tourist guides, and also of all others involved in tourism (in accordance with the guidelines of the Tourism Development Strategy to 2020 "Launching a campaign to raise awareness of tourism service providers about the importance and relevance of social tourism.")
