This is the time of year you are likely changing your wardrobe and rotating what’s in your closets for warmer clothing. Many art collectors have shared that this is the time of year they too change what is displayed on their walls. For many, when the seasons change, rearranging seems natural, like moving the open-toed shoes to the back of the closet. If you store favorite art pieces because of limited wall space, isn’t it time to rotate your artwork? With holidays approaching, freshening up the house includes your walls with either new art or pieces from storage, or both. Don’t stop collecting because you have run out of wall space! Store some pieces for the winter months and bring in a few new “must have” works of art. Rotating artwork is fun and it allows you to upgrade with new favorites for a fresh new look. Experiment by adding something new to something old to create a new theme for the new season. Sometimes an old, nearly forgotten favorite feels new again especially when paired with something new. If what you loved decades ago seems to have lost a little appeal, just pass it on to someone else to enjoy, and replace it with something new you recently discovered. It can be fun making changes to your wardrobe and art collection. We can certainly help with the artwork ... and since we are all fashionistas at the gallery, we can offer opinions on that too! 2Sprinkled with Sparkle

With several dozen natural and enhanced druzy pendants sparkling in Hunter-Wolff Gallerys jewelry display we often are askedWhat is Drusy

Drusy is simply a thin layer of tiny quartz crystals covering the surface of a host stone When mineral crystals such as garnet chalcedony or amethyst form there is sometimes a layer of condensed crystal points that harden on the surface of the stone This translucent layer of tiny crystals formed in large numbers is known as a drusy encrustation Drusy crystals are often treated with titanium and oxygen vapor to enhance the drusy crystals for more vibrant blues greens or purples while platinum can be used to create a silver or whitish hue This application is a permanent enhancement and does not devalue the stone

The colors of titanium-enhanced drusy are very hot and intensely bright they shift from a bright hot purple to a metallic deep blue with some shades of red The colors differ with the change in the viewing angles for stunning pendants earrings pins and rings

Whether you prefer natural or enhanced drusy no collection is complete without a drusy and wearing Jewelry by Tana will make you sparkle like the drusy you wear Donrsquot be surprised if you are stopped on the sidewalk and asked ldquoWhere did you get that beautiful jewelryrdquo Remember to always buy from reputable dealers like Hunter-Wolff Gallery for genuine titanium and silver coated drusies and other fine jewelry accessories

We are pleased to introduce our Guest Artist Jean Baczuk who lives on Californiarsquos beautiful southern coast with her husband Although she is originally from Southern California she spent much of her adult years in Colorado where she met and became friends with resident artist Clifford Bailey Hunter-Wolff Gallery is always exploring new possibilities for our patrons and searching for highly skilled artists We are pleased to bring you this opportunity to add new work to your own collection by someone as accomplished as Jean Baczuk Jean works primarily in oil and uses a glazing technique of thin layers of color over a detailed underpainting She builds layers slowly and methodically to create an illusion of realism and inner light Baczuk is self-taught having spent many hours studying the techniques of accomplished artists she admires Her work shows an affinity for simple compositions dramatically lit by a single light source Her paintings are often mistaken for photographs because they seem almost too perfect

for a painting She has been invited into many juried shows where her paintings receive top awards and earn the honor of being collected across the country She now offers a special collection of smaller 9x9 up to 16x10 paintings during her guest appearance with Hunter-Wolff Gallery through the end of December
