    KEY QUALIFICATIONS

    Shane Hunt is Professor Emeritus of Economics at Boston University. He has worked onPeruvian economic problems ever since his first visit to the country in 1963, and haspublished on Peru in areas such as public finance, on industrial, trade, and labor policyand on economic history and statistics. He was Visiting Professor at the Banco Central deReserva in 1969 and the Universidad del Pacifico in 1989. From 1993 to 1995 he wasChief of Party of the PAPI Project (USAID/ BIDE). In recent years he has served as aconsultant for the International Development Research Centre (Canada), which issupporting a consortium of economic and social research centers in Peru and hascontinued to work in the area of education and health economics.
