What is the difference between “primary doctrine” and “secondary doctrine?” What are some examples of each?

When we have true conviction behind what we believe, then it is easy for us to stand up for the truth. Are there any conversations that you are having lately where you realize you need do a better job of defending the truth?

Unfortunately, churches are known for in-fighting and disagreements. Sometimes, church members debate about topics that God has well-defined in scripture as permissible or sinful. What are some topics that people fight about in the church? Which of those should not be up for debate?

What would you do? You are at a Bible study and someone advocates the position that there has to be more than one way to God. What questions should you ask this person? What scripture would you use? Would you continue to stay in the same Bible study if this person adamantly refused to believe that Jesus was the only way?

How can you know when someone is teaching the truth about Christ?

How would you defend your faith in light of the following topics: abortion, pre-marital sex, homosexuality/gay marriage or whether or not there is more than one way to God.

How can Christ-followers be humble and loving, yet fiercely guard the truth? Have you ever done this? If so, share your experience.
