The St. Louis Plan has already demonstrated◦ Enhanced teacher quality that is directly impacting student
achievement and time on task◦ Feedback regarding the District’s existing new teacher induction
model◦ Consistent support and monitoring of instructional practices◦ Increased new teacher confidence, knowledge, perseverance,
and dedication to SLPS

93 candidates expressed an interest in the District’s new Consultant Teacher position
26 candidates were interviewed and 12 were selected as Consultant Teachers
Currently, Consultant teachers have received or delivered 360 hours of Professional Development
To date, Consultant Teachers have completed 184 formal observations and 300 informal observations and conferences

A core component of the St. Louis Plan includes constant, individual feedback for first year teachers; Consultant Teachers have logged over 700 contact hours with first year teachers
The St. Louis Plan currently serves a total of 34 schools◦ 10 high schools◦ 1 alternative school◦ 6 middle schools◦ 17 elementary schools
72 probationary teachers and 1 tenured teacher are assigned a Consultant Teacher (53 1st semester/ 18 1st/2nd year teachers added 2nd semester)
Feedback surveys of The St. Louis Plan distributed to hosting principals and new teachers - data will be used to drive next semester’s efforts
The Office of Accountability is developing program evaluation tools ◦ Retention/satisfaction◦ Benchmark data◦ EOC/MAP assessment◦ Informal teacher assessments
