Camozzi Digital, a new Camozzi Group company, was created with the intention to support companies that want to grow and be successful by exploiting digital innovation and the Internet of Things (IoT).Camozzi Digital offers a range of packages and solutions to connect machinery and equipment to the Cloud platform. In fact, the evolution of the industrial world led to the development of a global network capable of incorporating and connecting machinery, warehousing and logistic systems, and equipment and buildings all in the form of Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS). “Intelligent” systems capable of exchanging information, generating the actions necessary to control everything in a completely independent and automatic manner. Camozzi Digital focuses its development on innovation and digital integration of production processes: in the context of implementing Industrial Cyber-Physical Systems, it offers assistance to companies by combining the application of distributed computing systems on products and production systems with the

most advanced IoT technologies, following a “model based” approach that involves the planning and the close involvement of people and skills. This allows to correlate data and information collected during production processes with those obtained from the products themselves, during their operating life, through integrated sensors. The processing of big data through dedicated algorithms, and “real time” feedback systems, allows the continuous optimization of the product and of production processes. Through the technologies offered by Camozzi Digital, Smart Factories will be able to fully exploit the benefits of the digital management of production, focusing exclusively on the product, separate from the operative issues related to equipment management. Continuous optimization of the production process (efficiency, maintenance, energy consumption, waste, quality, etc.) will assure significant savings in terms of costs, providing a direct advantage over the competition, even in highly competitive industrial sectors.

Data Warehouse and Big Data solutions capable of scaling from terabytes to petabytes, with real-time performances. Algorithms have been implemented through Advanced Analytic instruments for the recognition of: anomalous patterns, statistical or recursive drift phenomena. Predictive algorithms have also been developed. Process KPIs are monitored and the correlation between essential parameters is performed, linked to maintenance, the state of components, energy consumption and production efficiency.

The results of this constant monitoring are securely accessible anytime and anywhere through Multi-device applications. The access is included in the Digital BOX offer.

Camozzi Digital offers special packages that enable the connection of the industrial machinery to the digital world. This is the essential step towards digital management of the factory. The Digital BOX contains all the necessary hardware to accomplish telemetry functions and monitoring of physical parameters and operating conditions of the main organs and operative systems: monitoring of control cabinets, energy consumption, the state of machinery, efficiency, and productivity of each element. The system has been conceived and designed for easy installation and connectivity to the Gateway contained in the Digital BOX. Furthermore, thanks to the installation of the Digital Box our clients can activate several additional services. According to the chosen function and the established targets, our specialized team deals with the digital supervision of equipment and machinery in order to identify the necessary actions that guarantee the client a substantial reduction of operating costs and the achievement of a long-lasting competitive advantage.

The gateway performs the main functions of interfacing, gathering and in pre-processing of all data coming from the process, storage and re-addressing of all messages from and to the Cloud. With an Internet connection to the Digital Box the system is safely connected to the Azure IoT cloud of Microsoft®.

The project was established in 2012. Following important R&D, two software platforms (YarNet and Marzoli Remote Maintenance) were installed in 2014 at pilot factories in Turkey and Italy. In 2015, the two platforms were presented at ITMA, the most important trade show of the textile machinery industry.

YarNet is simply the best software platform for the management of a Marzoli spinning plant. Thanks to YarNet, the operator can easily control and manage the entire production process from his computer by accessing any machine simply and efficiently.

Marzoli Remote Maintenance is an incredibly powerful platform that draws on the most advanced IoT technology of Microsoft®, to analyze the symptomatic data gathered in critical parts of the machines for the purpose of constantly monitoring their efficiency. If any parameter diverts from the nominal operating ranges, the client is immediately notified.
