HUD is implementing an electronic Annual Certification for
renewing FHA approvedmortgagees. The electronic Annual
Certification replaces the paper Yearly Verification eport !V"
Form# re$uired for the renewal of a mortgagee%s FHA approval.
The introduction of this electronic
process amends &aragraph '"( of HUD Hand)oo* '+,+.- /V"( to
reflect the re$uirements found
in this 0ortgagee 1etter.
&resently the V"Form is the only component of the annual
certification process that must )e
completed and su)mitted manually. eplacing this paper process
with the electronic Annual
Certification will now ma*e it possi)le for FHA"approved
mortgagees to complete the entire annualrenewal process
electronically. /ffective 2eptem)er - (++3 all program participants
see*ing
renewal as an FHA"approved mortgagee must complete the
electronic Annual Certification as acomponent of the renewal
process.

section of a mortgagee%s FHA Connection
account. Detailed instructions regarding the completion of the
electronic Annual Certification are
attached to this 0ortgagee 1etter. 0ortgagees are reminded of
their responsi)ility to comply withFair Housing re$uirements listed
in paragraph ("-,of HUD Hand)oo* '+,+.
