The local maintenance terminal is an item of the LMT software.
The local maintenance terminal adopts the GUI and the MML (Man Machine Language) to operate and maintain the system.
Note: Data configuration is realized by the MML commands.

Application scenarios of MML
Deployment
During the deployment, engineers should configure HUAWEI BSC6000 data configuration script according to the reference script and run the script by MML commands in batches.
Modify data in batches
When the RNP or RNO engineers need to modify mass incumbent BSC6000 configuration data, they can modify BSC6000 configuration data through running MML command script in batches.
Modify a few configuration data
When a few configuration data need to be modified, every single MML command can be run to execute the function.

On BSC6000 Local Maintenance Terminal, choose System > Execute MML Client.

Running MML commands in Batches
Running MML commands in batches refers to running multiple MML commands at a time. The pre-edited batch file is run on the Local Maintenance Terminal so that you do not need to manually run every MML
command.
The batch file is a plain text file. It contains a group of command scripts for a special task. The system automatically runs the commands in sequence.
You can run MML commands in batches through two methods: immediate batch command and timing batch command.
Immediate batch command refers to running the batch file immediately.
Timing batch command: The operator set in advance the date and time when the batch file is run. The system automatically run the batch file on the date and at the time.

The code of STP configured in the BSC system must be different from those of OSP, DSP and STP.
You must configure at least one OSP before you configure the STP.

Before adding the BSC subrack, you need to confirm the cabinet where this subrack is located exists, if not, you can invoke the MML command ADD BSCCAB first to add a cabinet.
This command can only be run to add the cabinets 1~11, and the cabinet 0 is added by default by the system.
When adding the BSC subrack, the GTNU and GSCU boards are added at the same time.
If a remote cabinet exists, you cannot add a local GTCS subrack.

The GTCS subrack can be configured with the Ater operation and maintenance link only in the remote end.
Before configuring the Ater operation and maintenance link, you need to configure the Ater connection path first.
The ports connected by the Ater connection path used for Ater maintenance and operation link must range from 0 through 31.
The selected time slots must be over four consecutive slots.
At most two Ater maintenance and operation links can be configured in the whole system.

Before running the command, you need to configure the GEIUA or GOIUA board.
You can configure at most 512 E1s/T1s of A interface.
The CICs of the E1/T1 time slot of two A interfaces with the same original signaling point and the same DPC number must be different from each other. Running the command in the actual configuration often fails because of violating this rule. In this case, you need to adjust the STCIC parameter to ensure it will not conflict with the CIC of the E1/T1 time slot of other A interface.

If the CIC of a timeslot equals 65535, the CICs of the following timeslots are set to 65535.

For the electrical interface board, the line lock of the GMPS subrack can only be configured in the Ater connection path. The GEPS subrack is not allowed to be configured with the line clock. The line clock of the GTCS can only be configured in E1 port of A interface.
For the optical interface board, you can configure the line clock only when the GMPS subrack has been configured with the GOIUT board. The GEPS subrack is not allowed to be configured with the line clock. You can configure the line lock only when the GTCS subrack is configured with the GOIUA board. The types of clock source include BITS clock and line clock.
When choosing the type of clock source, you can also configure the sub-type of the clock source.
The sub-type of the clock source is determined by the type of the clock source. If the clock source is BITS clock, its sub-type is 2MHz or 2Mbit/s; If the clock source is line clock, its sub-type is 8KHz only.
If the clock type is line clock, then you must ensure subrack 0 has been configured with the line lock.

The GMPS subrack can only select the reference clock of GGCU backplane as that of the SCU. The GEPS subrack can only select the reference clock of GGCU backplane as that of the SCU. The GTCS subrack can only select the line clock as the reference clock of SCU. In this case, you must ensure the local subrack has been configured with the line clock.
If you configure the SCU reference clock as invalid, the services will be influenced for lacks of a uniform reference clock for the local subrack.
