Divergent Boundaries: Between two tectonic plates that are moving away from each other. Divergent boundaries that are in continents makes rifts which produce rift valleys. Most active divergent plate boundaries are between oceanic plates and exist as mid-oceanic ridge. Divergent boundaries also form volcanic islands, which happen when plates move apart to make gaps which molten lava rises to fill.
Convergent Boundary
Convergent Boundaries: are formed when crust is destroyed and is forced back into the mantel as one plate dives under another. when that happens substitution zones are formed. Mountains and volcanoes can be found where plates converge. There are 3 types of convergent boundaries: Oceanic-Continental Convergence; Oceanic-Oceanic Convergence; and Continental-Continental Convergence.

Transform Boundary
Transform Fault boundaries: Transform-Fault Boundaries are where two plates are sliding horizontally past one another. These are also known as transform boundaries or more commonly as faults. Most transform faults are found on the ocean floor. they are normally are surrounded by mid ocean ridges

Great Rift Valley in Kenya Africa
An elongated valley formed by the depression of a block of a planet's crust between two faults or groups of approximately parallel faults (see also graben). As the faults move apart, the central area between them slips down. The friction produced by this slippage can cause earthquakes and also melt rock which is then released on the surface from volcanoes. Large and well-known rift valleys include the Great Rift Valley in East Africa, the Rheingraben, and Valles Marineris on Mars
