The SA122-2 is a 2-way mid/high system in a computeroptimized enclosure. Loudspeaker compliment consists of twinproprietary midrange 12”s, individually loaded into separate sub-compartments, and a single 2” compression driver mounted ona 90ox40o horn. The enclosure is constructed of durable 9-plyvoid-free birch laminate, dadoed for strength and durability. Per-forated steel is employed for frontal protection of the loudspeakercompliment.

The SA122-2 was designed as multipurpose, dedicatedmid /high range “workhorse” system for medium to large scale stagesound reinforcement duty. Its durable construction reliable perfor-mance make this system and excellent choice for many pro soundcompanies. Optional removable castor pallets faciliate load-ins/outswhile the steel handles are positioned for optimal leverage. Thissystem integrates with other McCauley SAtm and ACtm products,offering consistent coverage and a uniform appearance.

The loudspeaker shall be a two-way type with two 12" low/mid frequency drivers mounted in a bass reflex enclosureand one high frequency ClearFibertm horn flare utilizing a 2”throat compression driver. The low frequency section shallcontain two 12" “Focused Field” drivers with a power han-dling capacity of 700 watts RMS and shall have a sensitivityof 106 dB SPL measured at 1 meter with 2.83 volts into anominal 4 ohm load. The high frequency section shall consistof one 2" exit compression driver and horn combination witha power handling capacity of 100 watts RMS and a sensitivityof 111 dB SPL measured at 1 meter with 2.83 volts into anominal 16 ohm load. The combined loudspeaker systemshall be capable of 132 dB SPL continuous and 134 dB SPLpeak maximum output. The loudspeaker system shall havean effective operating range of 100 Hz to 12 kHz +/- 3 dB(40Hz to 16 kHz -10 dB). The loudspeaker shall offer cover-age angles of 90o Horizontal, and 40o Vertical. The enclosureshall weigh a total of 123 lbs. and shall measure 42 inches tall,22 inches wide (17 inches at rear) and 14 inches in depth.The enclosure sides shall be angled at 10o from front to backforming a trapezoidal shape. The enclosure shall be made of9-ply void-free birch hardwood and shall have a weather andwear resistant ProCoattm elastomeric finish. The enclosureshall incorporate one steel handle on each side for easymobility. Electrical connections shall be made via paralleledNeutrik NL-4 connectors, or optional NL-8 or EP series con-nectors. An optimized passive crossover network shall beswitchable between full range and biamp modes. The loud-speaker shall be the McCauley SA122-2.
