The partnership of Instore Broadcast’s content management and distribution with Adtec’s rugged hardware has created a simplistically elegant and reliable solution for information distribution into public spaces. Adtec signEdje Hardware with GPS and Instore Broadcast Software Directs and Informs Syntus Public Transport

DOETINCHEM, THE NETHERLANDS — Instore Broadcast, an official development partner

of Adtec Digital, has deployed Adtec’s signEdje with GPS control for Syntus public bus and rail

onboard TV. The partnership of Instore Broadcast’s content management and distribution with

Adtec’s rugged hardware has created a simplistically elegant and reliable solution for

information distribution into public spaces.

The mobile application developed is able to handle content for various routing schemes.

This is one of the first installations of this kind in the area to be used as a general solution for

public transportation.

Instore Broadcast created software specifically for the Adtec signEdje. In this particular

application, the software allows the management of the online creation of video clips for Syntus

bus and rail. Instore’s automated content distribution system makes it easy to update current

events with little or no human intervention. Using the templates created by Instore, Syntus can

create eye catching bumpers and trailers using the motion graphics tool to customize their own

message.

In addition to creating and automating the content, Instore Broadcast is the service

provider. The local TV broadcasters provide Instore a one minute newsflash for several regions

that is uploaded to the software everyday for Syntus bus and rail.

Instore Broadcast chose Adtec's signEdje because of its flash drive storage, unique

footprint and the GPS technology. The flash drive in the signEdje uses significantly less power

which was a determining factor in choosing the hardware for the system.

Instore Broadcast creates, manages and distributes content such as entertainment, next

stops, local and regional weather, and news updates. The entire online application, installation

and complete turnkey project was executed and completed by Instore.

The signEdje is a digital media player for AVC/H.264 and MPEG 2 high and standard

definition file playback and IP stream decoding. Whatever the source, the signEdje can

automatically scale the content to match your output target up to 1080i60 for outstanding HD

playback. The signEdje can easily be configured using the included web based control

application. The signEdje is available in configurations that support either live streaming or

stored playback.

Instore Broadcast has more than seven years experience in devising, developing and

supporting Instore TV/Digital signage and broadcast/barker channel applications. By making

optimal use of digital media, Instore can help clients construct a dialogue with their target

audience. In addition to this, Instore’s vision goes much further than just finding the desired

solution. For more information, visit www.instorebroadcast.com.
