GIPO have always set the standard in the area of processing systems. The first GIPO machine was developed around 25 years ago, mobile crushing is once again becoming important. This is mainly due to two reasons:

a) Earlier, only stationary processing plants could be used in quarries and gravel works. Today, this function is taken on increasingly by mobile crushers. The machine is only on site when it is actually required.

b) The recycling and immediate recycling of exploded and crushed material in construction projects make mobile crushers the most efficient and economical solutions in building material management: gravel deposits are spared, expensive storage and transportation are avoided.

As a Swiss pioneer in this area, ongoing development of components and machine types is a vital contribution by our engineers.

GIPOKOMBI is one of the latest acquisitions. Combining the crusher and screen in one plant brings distinct space, environmental and cost advantages.

The mobile tracked GIPO combo-plant is a highly efficient system with impact crusher and screen built onto one chassis. The tried and tested GIPO impact crushers and a compact design are the special features of combo-plants.

Where hitherto two separate machines (crusher and screen) were used in manufacturing a classified end product, only one machine is now needed. This means crucial cost savings for the manufacturer in terms of purchase, transportation, fuel consumption and in environmental impacts. The compact plant takes up less space at the construction site, and many classified end products can result simultaneously.

The extremely powerful GIPO impact crushers are combined with a 2-deck screening machine. Owing to the integrated screening machine, the plants produce a high quality end product. With the integrated oversized particle feedback, one can operate with a wider crushing gap. This brings advantages in crushing performance, in rate of wear and also in granule quality.

The infinitely variable adjustment of rotor speed simplifies feed-material processing. With the proven fully hydraulic actuator, even the hardest stones and concrete can be crushed without a problem. Level IIIA diesel engines form an integral part of the Powerpack of the GIPOKOMBI; the engines produce lower emissions and are already equipped to meet subsequent and more stringent environmental regulations. The installations can also be equipped with a soot particle filter. Owing to the feeding hopper with the fixed hopper walls and the compact oversized particle recycling belt, set-up time is virtually dispensed with. The machine can be transported from one location to another quickly and in an uncomplicated manner without the need for dismantling.

With the track-laying gear, which uses the full hydraulic power of the machine, it is possible to move the plant to almost any area.

The plants can be conveniently operated from the wheel loader or excavator through radio control. Through multiple additional equipment such as side delivery belt, permanent magnet, extended radio control, belt weigher, water spray, it is possible to upgrade the GIPO-combo plants as required. The plants can be used universally and what is impressive is their high efficiency, well tried technology and easy operation.

The mobile tracked GIPO impact crushers can be used universally and what is impressive is their technical quality, high efficiency, well tried technology and easy operation.

The GIPO impact crushers with the two impact walls and infinitely variable adjustment of the rotor speed with the proven fully hydraulic actuation concept form the core of the plants. With the infinitely variable adjustment of the rotor speed, it is possible to have direct control over the material to be broken. Thanks to this economic actuation system, reinforced concrete, asphalt, building rubble, natural stone, coal and blast-furnace slags can be processed.

The extremely powerful GIPO impact crusher is combined with a machine chassis with track-laying gear, powerpack, feeding hopper, feeder channel with integrated pre-screen or separate pre-screening, conveyor feed channel and crusher conveyor belt.

Stage IIIA diesel engines are installed in the GIPOREC powerpack, which are essentially more economical than the previous models. The installations can also be equipped with a soot particle filter.

The track-laying gear uses the power of the complete hydraulic system, enabling manoeuvring plants at almost any kind of site.

Owing to the feeding hopper with the fixed hopper walls, set-up time is practically not required. Downwards from low loader, upwards to the feed and crushing is well under way.

With the remote operation, the plants can be operated conveniently from the wheel loader or excavator.

A variety of extras is available for GIPO impact crushers: side conveyor belt, permanent magnet, extended radio control, belt weigher, water spray, etc.

The basic models GIPOREC R 100 and GIPOREC R 131 types can be extended with a single-deck screening unit. With this upgraded impact crusher, the end product can be screened off to produce a suitable end granule.

The hallmark of the new type of plant is its high degree of flexibility, whereby the basic model of the impact crusher can be extended as the customer desires, and can be operated and transported with or without the screen. This brings cost benefits with the investment, as well as with fuel consumption and environmental impact.

The return conveyor for oversize granules is attached securely to the plant and need not be detached for transportation. Consequently a high degree of mobility and short setup time is achieved. Thanks to the pivoting angle of 180˚, the return conveyor for oversize granules is uncoupled from the impact crusher for separate transportation of the impact crusher.

Simple coupling and uncoupling of the screen unit at the impact crusher by means of a hydraulic cylinder is possible without the use of external hoisting apparatus, and can be done in under 10 minutes. For separate transport of the screen unit, the screen unit can be loaded and transported by means of a hook-lifting device without additional hoisting implements.

To function as a mound conveyor, the return conveyor for oversize granules can be pivoted hydraulically through 180˚ on a stable turntable, thus providing a maximum discharge height of four metres for tipping onto the mound.

No additional supports are necessary for performing crushing, which ensures maximum mobility.

The GIPO jaw crushers are compact, mobile tracked crusher units. The plants are suitable for recycling building materials and for crushing stones.

The single jaw crusher, which is suitable for hard stones, allows for convenient and precise setting of the desired granule size with the hydraulic gap adjustment using plug-in plates. Hydraulic actuation starts the crusher with a filled crushing jaw and the infinitely variable speed adjustment with constant crushing power.

The fully diesel-hydraulic actuation concept used in all GIPO plants guarantees minimum susceptibility to failure due to dust, humidity and vibrations. The plants with highly dimensioned stage IIIA diesel motors also process the hardest stone rock chips.

In the feeder channel with the integrated pre-screening, the fine portion can be removed from the side with a conveyor belt. In the separate screening machine, owing to the screen covering in the lower deck, a classified grain is screened out and likewise removed from the side.

The jaw crushers are easy to transport and are quickly operative. The track laying gear enables rapid on-site positioning.

With the remote operation of the feeder channel installed in series, the excavator driver can operate the complete plant by itself.

Individual requirements can be matched optimum with the variety of additional equipment such as side conveyor belt, permanent magnet, conveyor feeder channel, extended radio control, belt weigher, water spraying.

The installations can also be equipped with a soot particle filter.

GIPOSCREEN plants are impressive with their high capacity. The plants move on track-laying gears and are diesel-hydraulic driven by powerful diesel motors with stage IIIA. Even in the strainers, the fully hydraulic actuation concept is insensitive to dust, humidity and vibrations.

The powerful 2 and 21/2 deck screen guarantee a high throughput and clean material separation. The screen is complemented by a feed conveyor and swivelling stockpile belts.

The screens are easy to transport and are quickly operative. With the track-laying gear, the quick conversion to use is done without a problem. Other features of the plants include optimum accessibility and easy maintenance.

The GIPO screens are autonomous or combined with a crusher.

The installations can also be equipped with a soot particle filter.

GIPO impact crusher on the construction site of the longest railway tunnel in the world.

Two GIPO impact crushers in use in Sedrun at the core piece of the Alptransit Gotthard. The two GIPO impact crushers P130 meet the most exacting standards through the processing of gneiss and mica slate of the Tavetscher and Gotthard massif.

Two GIPO processing units arranged in parallel comprise of: feeding hopper, plate belts, roller grizzlies, impact crusher, conveyor channels, cleaning belts, transverse belt, steel construction and electric control.

Pick-up unit and impact crusherThe building rubble and mixed demolition material (heavily reinforced concrete, wood, plastic, insulation material etc.) are picked up by the feed hopper. The feed material is conveyed via the feed channel withintegrated pre-screening into the impact crusher. The pre-screened material is either transported to the discharge channel via bypass and then to the 1200 wide crusher discharge belt or via a lateral conveyor belt to the stockpile. The material for processing by the impact crusher is crushed and conveyed on the crusher discharge belt to the screen plant.

Pneumatic classifierAt the time of the transfer from the cross belt to the oversize particle feedback belt the pneumatic classifier separates the lightweight material such as wood, plastic and insulation material from the oversize particles using a ventilation fan. The lightweight material drops into the receptacle attached on the side. The pneumatic classifier operates using air recirculation with an integrated fine dust filter system. In the 2 ½ deck screen machine the end fraction is separated into two different granule sizes specifically so that they can be classified in the screen machine and so that the end result is optimum classification of the final grain. Another advantage with this 2 ½-deck design is that by using the simple changeover flap integrated in the screen machine it is possible to select a final grain size for either the larger or smaller machine width of the two differently coupled screen decks without the need to change screens.
