Depending on the achievement of units of competency, the possible qualification outcome is Certificate II Construction Pathways
CPC20211 or a Statement of Attainment towards Certificate II Construction Pathways CPC20211.
Schools will schedule exam items in preparation for the HSC. These do not form part of the RTO assessment requirements.
The assessment components in this course are competency based. This means that students need to demonstrate that they have gained
and can apply the specific knowledge and skills of each unit of competency. Competency assessment is graded as “not yet competent” or
“competent’. In some cases other descriptive words may be used leading up to “competent”. A course mark is not allocated.

Construction: Qualification code: CPC20211
Assessment in this course is COMPETENCY BASED. This means students will be assessed as being ‘Competent’ or ‘Not Yet Competent’
against a prescribed standard. The completion of 70 hours of work placement is mandatory component of this course.
Students are working towards achieving a Certificate II in Construction pathways.
The Trial Exams results will be submitted to the board of studies as an estimated mark for cases of Misadventure.
The Students will be ranked in the course based on this result.
Assessment: Competency Assessment:
This is a competency based course. This means student’s work to develop the competencies, skills and knowledge described in each unit of competency. To be assessed as competent a student must demonstrate to a qualified assessor that they
can effectively carry out various tasks and combinations of tasks listed to the standard required in the appropriate industry. There is no mark awarded in competency based assessment. Students are assessed as either ‘Competent’ or ‘Not Yet Competent’. Students will be progressively assessed as ‘Competent’ or ‘Not Yet Competent’ individuals Units of Competency.
External Assessment – HSC Examination (Optional) For students to include this subject towards the ATAR, students must elect to undertake a Written HSC Examination.it will be
made up of multiple choice questions, short answers and extended response. For ATAR calculations this course is a B Category course.
Please note – this exam is independent of the competency based assessment undertaken during the course and has NO IMPACT on the eligibility of a student to receive AQF qualifications
Qualifications Students who are assessed as competent (through integrated competency assessment) in all units of competency in
construction – 240 hours will be eligible for the AQF Certificate II in construction pathways
Students who are assessed as competent for only some units of competency will be eligible for a statement of attainment showing partial completion of Certificate II.
