Sustainable Shorelines Advisory Committee Meeting Agenda December 3, 2014, 9:00 am2:00 pm NYSDEC Hudson River National Estuarine Research Reserve Norrie Point Environmental Center, Staatsburg, NY 12580 Meeting Objectives Advisory Committee members will get an overview of project results, discuss how different audiences have and will use different project products, brainstorm what topics need work on Hudson River Shorelines in future years, and acknowledge their collaborative effort these past five years. 9:00 Coffee and light refreshments served 9:30 Welcome, Introductions and Project Update Betsy Blair, NYSDEC Hudson River National Estuarine Research Reserve Group introductions and an update on overall project activities and wrap up schedule. 9:45 Review of Work Completed Team members Presentation and discussion of project results including physical forces, forensic analysis, cost analysis, wake report, demonstration sites and monitoring work, outreach efforts, and ecological information. 10:45 Break 11:00 Using Project Results Presentations by several Advisory Committee members Overview of how different groups have used or are likely to use project outputs. 12:00 Lunch Provided (and group photo) 12:45 What Next? Discussion of what aspects of Hudson River’s shorelines most need collaborative research, education or outreach in coming years. What needs work? Who will do it? 1:30 Project Wrap Up and Next Steps Participants share final thoughts about the Sustainable Shorelines project. 2:00 Adjourn
