Harford Road Community Collective Group Guidelines This forum is for residents of the communities along Harford Road (roughly between Hillen/Perring Parkway to Belair Road and Herring Run north to the County Line) to meet one another and discuss local issues and concerns. Group Guidelines: 1. Choose civility: This forum is a place to be neighborly. Everyone has opinions and, of course, anything that is “close to home” is… well, close to home and things can get emotional. That said, personal attacks are not welcome and can result in removal from the group without notice and at the sole, undisputed discretion of the moderators. 2. Promoting: This is a space for sharing information and community conversation. It is not a place for unsolicited business advertisements or political campaigning. However, if you have a new business in the neighborhood feel free to introduce yourself — your arrival is good news! 3. Happy Hour Rules: Remember the rules of a good happy hour party: “Don’t discuss politics, religion or sex.” We’ll extend that even a little further: There are plenty of groups out there where you can debate state and national topics like gun control, healthcare, etc. This isn't the place for that. This board began as a simple opportunity for neighbors to meet each other and discuss local issues. 4. Tone of intention: Please remember that not everyone was an English major, nor do they take the time to be sure that their ‘tone’ reflects their ‘intention’. Sometimes comments unintentionally sound snarky. (Hence the emergence of the emoticon.) When in doubt, please err on the side of forgiveness and just leave it at that. We look forward to hearing from you... Welcome to the group!
