• Changes how you view codes on the Employee Maintenance window

• Used on Employee Maintenance window
• Tracks additional information about employees

GARNISHMENTS • Enables you to calculate garnishments based on state & federal rules
• Setup options for Garnishment Maximum & Earnings
• Deduction code options for Garnishment • Five types Support Order Vendor Tax Levy Bankruptcy Other
Arrears Tracking
• Used to track deductions that could not be withheld due to lack of wages or other reasons
• Set up on the Deduction Code Setup window
• Three options• Allow Arrears• Mandatory Deductions• Collect When Possible
• Used with Mandatory Arrears & Arrears Transactions

PAYROLL ACCRUALS
• Used to create journal entries for estimating payroll amounts for cross-period payrolls
• It is a Go Forward estimation
• Requires Labor Accrual Accounts (HR & Payroll Area Page >> Setup >> Payroll >> Labor Accrual Accounts)
• Utilizes the Payroll Accruals window (HR & Payroll Area Page >> Transactions >> Payroll >> Payroll Accruals)
PAYROLL CODE MODIFIER
• Enables you to change codes Pay Codes Deduction Codes Benefit Codes Department Codes
• Go to Utilities >> Payroll >> Payroll Code Modifier
• Does NOT change HR codes

MASS UPDATE
• Payroll utility used to update data for groups of employees
• Changes multiple types of items Pay Rates Deduction/Benefit Amounts Vacation/Sick Time Accrual Amounts Vacation/Sick Time Hours Per Year Vacation/Sick Time Available
• Only works with Payroll data
• Utilities >> Payroll >> Mass Update
Employment History
• New window added to GP 2018 for tracking employee hires & terminations
• Found by going to Employee Maintenance >> Go To >> Payroll >> Employment History

COMPENSATION MANAGEMENT
HR Utility used to maintain employee pay rates for groups of employees
Will create records in the Earnings History window
Will affect codes based on the code being updated
Utilities >> Human Resources >> Compensation Management
DED/BEN SHARED LIMITS
• Feature in GP 2018 R2 to facilitate working with multiple retirement plans
• Based on a Calendar Year maximum
• Prevents over-deducting from the two plans
• Setup >> Payroll >> Ded/Ben Shared Limits
