Counsel for Domestic Terrorism Matters
CTS is seeking experienced attorneys to work in all areas of the
counterterrorism mission, including the application of investigative
techniques to the task of identifying and disrupting terrorist plots before

The incumbent serves as an Attorney-Advisor in DEO, and advises senior

An appointment with the U.S. Attorneys Office offers unique and
challenging experiences for the highly motivated attorney; an opportunity
to work on their own caseload and handle their own trials. Working in the

part of a dedicated team helping to enforce Federal criminal laws and
prepare appeals. The AUSA will receive substantial training in
investigating and prosecuting federal crimes primarily involving criminal

made on a 14 month (temporary) basis pending favorable adjudication of a

Trial Attorney, Narcotic and Dangerous Drug Section, Policy Unit
The U.S. Department of Justice, Criminal Division, NDDS, currently seeks
a Trial Attorney for the Policy Unit. This position reports to the Section's
Deputy Chief for Policy. Policy Unit attorneys serve the interests of the
Department by interacting with the interagency, particularly the State
Department, ONDCP, the Department of Defense and other federal, state
and local governing bodies and agencies to develop, implement and
monitor the implementation of national and international drug strategies
pertaining to the Controlled Substances Act, and the 1961, 1971, and 1988
United Nations Drug Conventions. Policy Unit Attorneys also monitor,
study, and advise the Assistant Attorney General for the Criminal Division,
the Chief of NDDS, and other policymakers within DOJ regarding the
aforementioned statutes and treaties, and draft legislative or administrative
amendments if needed, to address emerging drug trends requiring
supplemental legislation, administrative scheduling changes, or other
additional laws or regulations.

Trial Attorney, Narcotic and Dangerous Drug Section, Litigation Unit
The U.S. Department of Justice, Criminal Division, NDDS, currently seeks
Trial Attorneys for the Litigation Unit. This position reports through the
Assistant Deputy Chief to the Section's Deputy Chief of Litigation. The
Litigation Unit attorneys work with federal law enforcement agencies to
identify, investigate and prosecute the most significant national and
international drug trafficking and money laundering organizations.
Litigation Unit attorneys prosecute major transnational narcotic traffickers
and money launderers in the U.S. courts, using evidence gathered by U.S.
federal agents and foreign law enforcement officials abroad.

The Criminal Division, U.S. Department of Justice, is seeking qualified,

The incumbent will be involved in preparing litigation reports and
pleadings in various litigation filed against staff and the United States as
well as handle the adjudication of administrative tort claims. The

frequent professional communication with defense attorneys, prosecutors,

Trial Attorney
As a Trial Attorney in the Washington Criminal II Section, responsibilities
will include investigation and prosecution of bid-rigging, price-fixing,
bribery and other fraudulent schemes designed to undermine
competition. In furthering the work of the Division, Trial Attorneys will
work closely with FBI and other law enforcement agents to develop
investigative strategies; coordinate with various law enforcement agencies
and offices throughout the United States and cartel agencies around the
globe; and represent the United States before grand juries in districts

General Attorney, Discovery Coordination and Policy Unit
The Discovery Coordination and Policy Unit (DCPU) supports the FBI by
responding to requests for electronically stored information (ESI) related
administrative investigations, civil lawsuits, criminal cases, and other legal
matters. DCPU attorneys are responsible for promoting and facilitating the
continuous improvement of the FBI's e-Discovery processes. They serve as
expert legal advisors in the field of e-Discovery, particularly as it related to
the preservation, collection, and production of the FBI's ESI. In addition,
they provide legal advice and guidance on Bureau records retention and
information management policies and practices.

The selectee will provide legal and policy advice on forensic science
matters in the Science and Technology Law Office (STLO). The selectees
will serve as an Attorney-Advisor with the Science & Technology Law
Unit (STLU), which is focused on operational issues related to TEDAC,
and will be embedded with TEDAC in Huntsville, AL upon the facilities

AUSAs are assigned to each of these offices to prosecute criminal and civil

Attorney, Fraud Section
The Fraud Section of the Commercial Litigation Branch, Civil Division,
represents the United States in federal district courts in civil matters
concerning fraud against the Government as well as areas including
conflict of interest, bribery and public corruption. The largest subject area
of work is application of the False Claims Act, which includes bringing
cases for fraud against Government healthcare programs, fraud by
Government contractors, and fraud against a variety of other Government
programs.
