In line with conducting Recruitment Drives in top tier universities in Pakistan, the second drive washeld at Karachi School for Business and Leadership (KSBL). The HR Team along with CountryManager, Nael Ahmed and Head of HR, Kiran Ali received a warm welcome by their CareerPlacement Manager. Nael Ahmed, Kiran and the Chairman of KSBL exchanged light conversation in aquick session before the interviews and Guest Speaker Session began. The Management TraineeInterviews were held successfully and like past years, the quality of resource did not fail todisappoint us.

KSBL Recruitment Drive
KSBL Guest Speaker SessionThe Guest Speaker presentation conducted by Country Manager Nael Ahmed at KSBL garnered a lotof interest by the students, Chairman and leading faculty alike, who attended the hour long session.An overwhelming majority of students attended the session exhibiting a keen interest in what Naelhad to say about Abudawood. Upon the end of his presentation, Nael was presented with acertificate to acknowledge the time he spent to speak with the students.
The idea of the session was to share the workings of Abudawood and expose students to the culture.HR was accompanied by KSBL alumni – now serving as Abudawood employees – who shared theirexperiences of working at ADP.
The Recruitment Drive and Guest Speaker Session was an extremely enjoyable experience and thehospitality we received was par excellence.
Many students also revealed in the interviews that the impactful presentation put Abudawood intheir consideration set of top companies to work for owing simply to the Country Manager’spresentation and based on the understanding they had formed of the culture!

Multan : Hulla Gulla without bordersThe Multan District organized the engagement activity with much fanfare. The entire District, sansdepartmental borders of being part of CBD, CS&L, or Admin celebrated as ONE with an outing toHarappa for all employees. The bus departure from Faisalabad was followed by a fun-filled daypacked with a Museum visit along with all sorts of activities ranging from a cricket match to sackrace, tug-of-war, spoon race and tyre race. To polish off the work out, there was a grand lunchenjoyed in the outdoors amidst much celebration and sportsmanship spirit.
It was a one of a kind activity to bring everyone together for a day packed with much hulla gulla!Good Job Multan for pulling off an activity which united everyone and rejuvenated the entiredistrict.
Islamabad : Cricket Gala

In keeping with the tradition of engagement activities, the Islamabad team exhibited a great displayof team spirit and healthy competition by organizing an exciting cricket gala which was held betweenNorthern CBD and CSL departments where both teams played a enjoyable game of cricket againsteach other. Teams from all Units demonstrated enthralling sportsmanship, with the Rawalpindi Unitcoming out on top as the indisputed winner.
Employees’ participated enthusiastically in the day-long sports gala, where food, refreshments andother fun-filled activities were also provided for participants. The healthy competitive spirit betweenthe ADP North Team was refreshing and provided for a good day’s entertainment and unwinding.

Head Office : Anger Management SessionA session on Anger Management & Prioritizing was conducted at the Head Office for allManagement Staff by Ijaz Nisar, who is the Founder & President of Pakistan's Best Selling BusinessMagazine, Manager Today and CEO of Leading Edge OD & Training Consultancy in Lahore. He gave atalk where he shared his inspiring thoughts in an entertaining session, leaving everyone withconsiderable food for thought.
CS&L : On to newer groundsAs per our tradition of pursuing highest quality warehousing standards in CSL, new Warehouseswere inaugurated at Hyderabad. and Larkana. After detailed planning and close coordinationamongst all members, the transition to both branches has been seamless and successful. Aninteresting point to be note was that not a single day of operations was missed in the shiftingprocess which is quite a feat!

Fiza Farhan is a name on the 30under30 list by the prestigious Forbes Magazine for SocialEntrepreneurs and is also Pakistan’s youngest entrepreneur and the only Pakistani to be featured inthe coveted Forbes list in 2015. Having a Master’s degree in Business Administration from WarwickBusiness School and a Bachelor of Science from LUMS, she is the Co-Founder and CEO of BukshFoundation. In 2008 she co-founded both Buksh Foundation and Buksh Energy (Pvt) Ltd in March2009 with a vision of impacting investment and creating demand driven solutions in the renewableenergy and development sectors.
Buksh Foundation works to bring clean energy projects to the remote and rural areas of Pakistan. Inthe 4 years since its inception, the Buksh Foundation has trained 135 women as energyentrepreneurs and has brought solar-powered lights to 6,750 households. The foundation hasextended business and clean energy loans to as many as 12,000 entrepreneurs!
Recently, she was appointed ‘Future Energy Leader’ at the World Energy Council, received the 11thannual Environmental Excellence Award for the ‘Best Performance in Renewable Energy’ and wasappointed co-chairperson of the Italian Development Committee, Lahore chapter.
Fiza has consistently represented Pakistan’s development sector at the regional and global stage as aspeaker across multiple conferences and forums including the UN Foundation’s SE4ALL forum andthe Annual Global CSR Summit to name a few. She also continues to represent her company andcountry at the World Energy Council, UN Foundation Practitioners Network, ADB-Asia Clean EnergyForum, Gender and Energy Network and more!
The soft image of Pakistan that she has portrayed will take us miles as a nation. We only hope thatthe other thousands of people working hard and creating such opportunities are also recognizedinternationally to help promote the more real side of Pakistan.
