August Employee of the Month The Fairbanks North Star Borough Employee Recognition Committee proudly announces that Lee Williams, of the Parks & Recreation Office, has received the Fairbanks North Star Borough Employee of the Month Award for August 2019. Lee has been nominated and selected for this honor in recognition of his superior service to the borough since November 2012. In his position as Chena Lake Manager, Lee is the consummate professional whose expansive knowledge and experience enables him to work through a myriad of complex issues, proving himself to be a fantastic asset to the borough. He has distinguished himself through his remarkably high level of initiative and his exceptional communication skills. Lee handles many unanticipated demands with tact and poise, calmly and professionally providing quick, satisfactory resolutions. He is a very strong team player who can be counted on to be especially responsive and helpful to the public and his fellow co-workers. Lee’s co-workers have expressed their great appreciation for his enthusiastic dedication and his personable, courteous manner. They hold him the highest regard! Darryl has been nominated and selected for this honor in recognition of his exceptional service to the borough since April 2014. In his position as Analyst-Programmer, Darryl is renowned for his high degree of job knowledge and his ability to persevere and conquer the most difficult projects. He exemplifies a flexible, courteous, and dedicated employee whose notable resourcefulness and keen sense of responsibility has a very positive impact on Digital Service functions. Darryl has proven himself to be an indispensable asset in a very busy department, never hesitating to take on extra duties, completing all tasks accurately and expediently. He is committed team player who is very mindful of the needs of his department, always the first to volunteer and lend a hand whenever and wherever help is needed. Darryl’s co- workers have expressed their strong appreciation for his friendly and courteous attitude. He is enjoyable to work with and they are proud to have him on the team!
