His objective is to raise $1 for every foot climbed or $20,320 to enhance extracurricular activities for Hamtramck Public Schools’ students, Early Childhood through Grade 12. Extracurricular Activities Benefit Our Students Academic achievement is enhanced by student participation in extracurricular activities. These activities complement academics and add to a student’s educational experience. They often provide the much needed boost, helping students stay interested in school, increasing self esteem and encouraging success in the classroom and beyond. This fund will support fees, transportation, and supplies for Greening Project, Science Olympiad, National Honor Society, Math & Reading Nights, Student Council, Journalism & Book Clubs, Global Trade Mission, DECA, Reading Carnival, Academic, Sports & Leadership Camps,Field Trips and many other valuable student activities.
