Mature Fields Consulting

As a field’s lifecycle plays out and production declines, Halliburton Consulting can help you to increase your return on investment and net present value by improving well and field productivity. We can create full field redevelopment plans, taking into account a number of production enhancement or reservoir optimization options with consideration of existing surface constraints.

We design our mature-field engagements to have immediate impact through some type of intervention to get more oil and gas out of existing wells. Success in extracting hydrocarbons from shale and other low-permeability formations has transformed the energy landscape in the US. Well engineering solutions

Halliburton Well Engineering consultants develop reliable, efficient well designs and well-construction programs with a focus on well integrity and efficiency to reduce risk and costs. We can prepare comprehensive well designs and program, or perform such discrete services as casing-/tubing-design analysis, well-program evaluation, and cost estimation.

Our Collaborative Well Planning service enables engineers and geoscientists to maximize reservoir drainage with the fewest wells possible by understanding each other’s constraints. As a result, our recommended targets and well paths also help avoid collisions and subsurface hazards that cause nonproductive time or HSE issues.

We provide a single point of contact responsible for coordinating logistics, scheduling, and daily reporting. We also offer more advanced services, such as drilling and completions planning, contingency planning, financial tracking, performance optimization, and HSE management. If you want to outsource construction of entire wells from drilling to completions, we offer an Integrated Project Management (IPM) solution. In IPM projects, we assume all financial and operational responsibility to deliver a finished well at an agreed-upon price. From start to finish, we collaborate with you to help ensure that wells meet your specifications.

Halliburton Project Management offers three levels of service, depending on whether you just need help coordinating work, a full turnkey solution, or something in between. Our teams can fill in resource gaps, in conjunction with Halliburton services, to help you achieve your goals on time and within budget.

On engagements where we support the client’s project manager, we offer Basic and Advanced Integrated Services levels. For both, we provide an experienced project coordinator who can seamlessly integrate our services to your work. The coordinator directs logistics of all Halliburton services and provides you with daily operations and HSE reports.

Under Advanced Integrated Services, in addition to project coordination, we offer drilling and completions planning; contingency planning; performance optimization; and financial tracking on a discrete services model, time and materials basis, or performance basis. This service is ideal for clients who want to make all financial and operational decisions themselves but still want the efficiencies that expert project management provides.

integrated Well intervention

As a well matures, workovers might become necessary and as the well reaches the end of its productive life, economics might dictate the need to abandon the well. Each situation is different and, Halliburton Project Management has the expertise to develop and execute intervention plans that will best achieve your objectives.

We manage large workover portfolios on a multi-year basis worldwide in such locations as the Gulf of Mexico, South America, Eurasia, and the Middle East.

Our Horizontal Recompletions service applies Halliburton stimulation and completion technologies to increase the estimated ultimate recovery on earlier generation horizontal wells. In addition, Halliburton Plug and Abandonment specialists can minimize potential liability and costs, even when there are many unknowns, providing you with barrier assurance.
