How it works

HPE StormRunner Load is a cloud-based solution hosted and supported in HPE data center facilities. It is available immediately and delivered via SaaS licensing. You can purchase a subscription with just a credit card and scale up on demand. All you need is a browser to get started.

Using HPE StormRunner Load, performance engineers in Agile or traditional environments can create and run a load test in just minutes. The solution supports a wide array of tools and technologies including VuGen scripts, HPE TruClient, TruAPI, and open source technologies such as JMeter and Gatling. You can spin up load generators via multiple cloud vendors such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Azure, and you can see the results of your tests and gain real-time insights into performance issues instantly.

Accelerates load testing in the Agile cycleWith HPE StormRunner Load, your teams can quickly develop and run tests using the ultra-simple HPE TruClient, enabling them to accelerate the velocity of your project and the quality of the released software.

Support for open APIsHPE StormRunner Load has a public REST API, making it easy to integrate to your continuous integration (CI)/continuous deployment (CD) frameworks such as Jenkins and Bamboo. HPE StormRunner Load also supports the Git version control system for managing scripts. Developers can also use open source scripting tools such as JMeter and Gatling.

Real-world testing conditionsWith the integration of HPE Network Virtualization, HPE StormRunner Load can emulate real-world network conditions. During load testing the solution can emulate multiple users and user types as well as multiple network conditions such as Wi-Fi, 3G, 4G, WAN good, WAN typical, mobile typical, mobile good, and so on.

Performance testing from a Private or Public CloudStormRunner Load allows to automatically provision on demand on-premises load generators for load tests of internal apps. It uses the Private Cloud to generate load on a secured application behind a firewall. With the support of Private Cloud, enterprise organizations no longer need to struggle with massive hardware for load generation machines. Now enterprises can easily scale as much as they need to complete their internal performance testing while saving time and reducing the total cost of testing.

Docker supportWith HPE StormRunner Load, engineers can now deploy a Docker-based load generator (LG), making it fast and easy to deploy the LG, load-test internal applications, and scale on different servers. In addition, HPE StormRunner Load users can now test Docker container-based data and monitor it via HPE SiteScope.
