Cloud computing es un modelo de prestación de servicios de IT que proporciona acceso bajo demanda a través de la red a un conjunto elástico de activos compartidos de computación (por ejemplo, servicios, aplicaciones, servidores, almacenamiento y comunicaciones) que pueden provisionarse y entregarse rápidamente con interacción mínima del proveedor de servicios. El valor total del servicio puede ser escalado bidireccionalmente según se requiera para facilitar el pago por uso.
