The double glazing of the door improves insulation properties of the door. It also decreases the amount of the heat emitted through the external glass. In the case of smaller rooms, this helps to prevent their possible overheating. At the same time, the temperature in the hearth is increased, which helps to improve the cleanliness of the external glass.

Upward-sliding doorThe door slides upward when it is opened and thus it does not interfere with the dwelling space. There are eight thermally resistant bearings securing light operation of the whole mechanism. First, the door is pulled back from the firebox body in order to prevent seal wear during subsequent upward motion.

Clean burning Bringing air to the right place in the hearth ensures good burning quality and clean external glass.Preheated air flows past the glass and creates a screen preventing fouling of the glass by soot and dust. To maximize this effect there are adjustable control elements regulating the ratio of the air introduced into the hearth.

Full control of fireThe hearth is perfectly sealed in order to prevent disturbance to the efficient combustion by an uncontrolled air flow. A special door and door seal shape secure resistance to high operating temperatures and guarantee stability of the seal between the body and the door.

Supply of combustion air from outside

Grateless combustion technology

Hoxter products are commonly fitted for connecting of exterior combustion air. In this way, oxygen from the room is not burnt and heat is not exhausted from the room. As a result, the dwelling space is completely cut off from the combustion process.

This technology allows complete combustion of fuel and thus increases combustion efficiency. In this way, the amount of combustion waste is substantially reduced and the time between regular maintenance actions is increased. A small amount of fine dust in the hearth is beneficial for further combustion.

Easy controlsWhen designing and selecting materials, prevention of over heating during operation is taken into account. Still, their shapes and operation movements remain natural and intuitive.

FireplacesHot-air fi replace principleHot fl ues from the hearth heat up the heat exchanger with large heating areas. The steel heat exchanger further heats up the surrounding air, which rises to the top of the fi replace, where the hot air fl ows into the room through a grille. At the bottom of the fi replace, colder air from the room fl ows inside to be heated again by the exchanger. Almost immediately after making a fi re, circulation of warm and cold air in the room is established.

Storage fi replace principleIn this case hot fl ues from the hearth fl ow through the storage exchanger, which slowly absorbs the heat from the fl ues. The storage exchanger is made of heavy materials able to store heat energy. The heat stored in the heat exchanger keeps penetrating into the fi replace wall a long time after the fi re has died down. The fi replace wall is thus heated up and emits the heat further into the room. Some of the properties of thermal radiation are similar to the effects of solar radiation. The storage exchanger may be placed next to a fi replace insert connected by a cast iron cupola or it may be placed directly on the fi re insert in the version with a cast iron adapting piece.

Water-bearing fi replace principleHot fl ues from the hearth pass through a tubular or ribbed hot-water exchanger placed above the hearth. The remaining part of the heat exchanger is at the same time built in all parts of the hearth. In the exchanger, the heat from hot fl ues is transferred into water which is diverted to the storage tank.Hot water is stored in the storage tank and is used for heating of service water, radiators or fl oor heating. Colder water from the bottom of the storage tank fl ows back again into the hot-water exchanger.

Safe operationSafe operation of hot-water fireplace inserts is secured by a built-in cooling loop together with a thermostatic valve. If an excessively high temperature exceeding 95° C is reached in the exchanger, the thermostatic valve opens and feeds cold water from the water main into the loop. The water flowing in the loop cools down the hot-water exchanger, decreasing the temperature to operation levels of 60 – 80°C.

Guaranteed rigidity of the bodyHot-water fireplace inserts perform the full function of a hot-water boiler and therefore they are subject to similar safety criteria.By simulating pressure loading of the body, characteristics of the fireplace inserts in limiting situations are ascertained and rating of safety elements is designed.It is another level of safety we offer to our customers.

Efficient transfer of energy in the heat exchangerExchanger design has a profound effect on its future operability and efficiency. Before a product is launched onto the market, water flow in the exchanger is simulated and adjusted so that the exchanger transfers the maximum output into water.

Models in versionOutput+ Some of the hot-water inserts are available in Output+ versions.These products are adjusted to cope with larger fuel loads. When greater fuel loads are provided, the hearth produces greater amount of heat energy, which is transferred into water in a tubular exchanger.

Storage heaters

Hot fl ues fl ow from an individually built hearth via the storage draught system. Thanks to its substantial weight and material structure, the storage hearth with a draught system absorbs a large amount of heat from hot fl ues. The stored heat is later evenly released into the stove jacket for as much as twelve hours. During this time, the stove jacket further emits the heat in the form of radiation into the room. Some of the properties of thermal radiation are similar to the effects of solar radiation. The storage stove thus offers healthy heat without frequent fuel replenishment .

Robust designThe hearth of the storage stove creates a large amount of heat and the whole heating apparatus is subject to great thermal strain. The robust design and the construction of the GT stove door guarantees full operability even at high operation temperatures of the storage stove. In order to secure stability and the door during operation there are adjustable feet to be screwed to the fl oor. By tightening the door to the hearth using the prepared lugs, we acquire the required sealing of the hearth.

Storage heat accumulaterHot fl ues fl ow through storage rings, which absorb heat. The heat stored in this way is gradually

released by radiation into the surrounding fi replace walls. The fi replace walls then radiate the heat

further into the room even several hours after the fi re died down. This is a more effi cient way

of management of a great amount of heat, which is created during combustion in a short interval.

Some of the properties of heat radiation are comparable to solar radiation.

Two-piece storage ringThe limiting operation temperature is 1000° C, therefore it is recommended that it be placed as close as possible to the hearth. The weight of the two-piece ring is 22kg.

The inspection door called “Invisible” is fully operational during inspection and maintenance of the apparatus and at the same time when it is closed it is completely flush with the adjacent wall surface. The door has the same surface finish as the adjacent wall and owing to a sophisticated mechanism of opening, no visible handle is necessary. The used materials and the stable construction of the door guarantees operability at high operation temperatures reached in fireplaces and stoves.

Automatic regulationAutomatic combustion regulation Abra 18 offers a comprehensive solution for the heating system.The regulation includes a display used for controlling and communication. The control unit receives entry values from temperature sensors and based on them controls several components at the same time. A motor-operated fl ap regulating the amount of air for combustion and a door contact informing the regulation device of opening and closing of the door when fuel is added.

Basic functionsOne of the functions is the regulation of combustion based on combustion temperature in the hearth. Combustion is regulated so as to secure the best effi ciency and thus to lower fuel consumption. Abra regulation unit is suitable in particular for all hot-water products. Based on temperatures in the exchanger and the storage tank, it controls the circuit pump in the primary system, which interconnects the hot-water exchanger with the storage tank. Another function is the indication of free capacity in the storage tank and controlling of the pump of the secondary system distributing heat around the whole house.
