Common causes of student stress
• Worry that grades are not high enough• Worry about failing exams• Worry about not completing work on time• Worried that a teacher does not like you• Worry that your parents will be called to the
school• Worry about being put out of school• Worry about relationships with other students

SYMPTOMS OF STRESS INCLUDE:-
• Tension• Backache/Headache• Stomach problems• Rapid heart beat• Sweating• Muscle /body pain• Inability to sleep well• Loss of appetite

Emotional symptoms include
• Being angry/negative about everything• Not wanting to mix with others• Feeling sad/depressed• Crying a lot• Arguments /fights• Impatience• Not wanting to talk to even your close friends

Manage stress by:-
• Talking to others about your problems• Following a routine of regular exercise• Eating a well balanced diet/eating regularly• Getting enough sleep• Time management• Recognizing your stressors and avoiding them• Changing your attitude and behaviour
