What is a CV?
An outline of a person's educational and professional history, usually prepared for job applications.
Did you Know?• CV is an abbreviation of
“Curriculum Vitae”.• Another name of a CV is: “a
resume”.
What Should I Write in My CV?1- Personal Information:Name, date of birth, address, phone number, email…etc.
2- Education:Write your degree, subject of study, university, GPA and year of graduation.
3- Work Experience:List all your previous jobs and tasks. Use action words such as developed, organized, planned…etc.
4- Skills:• Computing (computer skills).• Languages.
5- Workshops and Training Courses:Name all training courses and workshops attended with places and dates.
6- Interests and Achievements: Include hobbies, social activities and volunteer work.
7- References• Include contact details of two
referees.• You may write: “references are
available on request”.
Things to keep in mindAppropriate length, shape and
order.Correct spelling and grammar.Accuracy.Honesty.Clarity.
