The case is held shut by a magnet. To open your netbook, use one hand to hold the base of the laptop down while you gently pry the lid up with your other hand.
Turn on your netbook by pushing the power button above the keyboard on the right side.
It is easiest to use your index finger to move the cursor and your thumb to click.

The touchpad uses a rocker button to click, which means that you
must push the left side of the button to left-click, and the right side of the button
to right-click.
Log in to the computer using your student ID as your username – include the ‘s’ at the beginning. Your password is the first letter of your last name (capitalized), your birth date in six digits (MMDDYY), and a lowercase ‘s’.
Never log in for any other student or let another student log in for you. If you are having difficulty logging in, ask your teacher for assistance.
Follow your teacher’s instructions for assignments. Don’t get distracted!
You are responsible for your actions on the netbook. Do not use another student’s netbook or let another student use yours.
Do not touch the screen with your fingers or other objects.
Do not change any settings on the netbook. Do not change the desktop background.
You should save any work in progress to the H: drive. You will be able to access it later from any AISD computer.
You may also save files to a USB flash drive if you have one.
Do not save anything to the Desktop or Documents folder.
