Enter hootsuite.com on the search bar


Sign-up using one of your social

media accounts (ex. Facebook)


Click Facebook and it creates the account for you.


Then it will open on a web browser


Through the web browser


Once you have set up your

hootsuite account


You can download the app to

your iphone,


to your android phone, ipad or

other tablet


You can access the hootsuite

tools on those mobility

applications.


Once set-up,


You can start connecting all

your different social media

assets.


With the FREE account version,


You can hook up to 5 different

social media accounts


To connect to more than 5

social media accounts,


it costs $10 a month

(Business version)


To add more social media

network


Just click Add social media

network


This Dialogue Box pops up


and shows you social media

networks you can sign-on


Not all social networks are

Publishing Apps


But Tweeter, Facebook,

Google+ and Linkedin


are able to publish straight from

hootsuite


Other apps like Pinterest and

Instagram


You can only MONITOR the

activity in there.


Tweeter and Facebook

are the most popular networks

so


Click Connect with Tweeter


Youll be asked to enter your Username


And your Password


Then click Authorize app


Then youll be redirected to the main page


Where hootsuite creates a New

Tab


So this is my Dashboard


You can Edit the name of the

Tab by clicking on it


And you can Add the different

Streams


We can organize everything into

Streams under a specific Client


hootsuite will organize your

different activities under

different streams.


For example, on the Home feed,


youll have all updates from people you follow


And right next to it Ive added a Mentions stream


Mentions

shows that people mention you.


Its a good practice that people are mentioning you


so if I need to post something

about my business,


I know about it and I can

respond to it or


Im at least aware that people are talking about me.


To Add a Stream, Click Add Stream


Once youve added a Stream,


you can manage who exactly to

follow


You can also add a stream from here


You can browse Apps


and connect Apps like

Instagram, click on it


so it can be added,


then click Get more apps


You can also add Mailchimp

and Evernote, etc.


and lot more you can do


But lets go back to what we want to use hootsuite for


which is

Scheduling


Hootsuite offers a Hootlet


Go to Tools


Then click on Install Extension

under Extensions and Downloads


Then this page opens


Click Add to Chrome


Then click Add


to complete the installation for

Google Chrome


Hootsuite has been added to

Chrome.


What thats going to do is


For example, lets go to my

favorite usana.com


Then I see an article I would like to Add


Click on the Hootlet


And it populates the article automatically


Without me having to add the

link


Though I can add the link if I

want to


So select the social networks to

publish this to


I select my Tweeter and

Facebook page


Then Schedule


Hootsuite has an Auto- scheduler


So Hootsuite will select the optimum time for your post


Though it may schedule it out random times per day


But it wont be everyday


You can also select the Day


Select the Time


Check the Box so hootsuite will

email you


when the Post is sent out


Then hit Schedule


Then go back to hootsuite


And if you have that Stream

pulled up


Youll see it under Scheduled Tweets


If you want to Upload a Photo


Click the Compose Message box


Click on Attach Image


Click Select files to Upload


Select the Image you want and

click Open


Once image is uploaded,


select Social Networks


You can add Location


And click Send Now


You can post the same

message/image simultaneously



At the same time

If you need to Edit anything,

click Edit


You can change the topic,


change the date and time


You can change the Image, etc.


As for Publisher


It will give you ALL Updates

scheduled by Hootsuite


And you can select from List


And you can select from Day


And you can select from Week


And you can select from Month


And you can also filter this out

by Social Networks



So you can see whats going to be published

to your Tweeter account


Click here


And it will show you right here


Click on the Pencil icon to Edit


or the Trash bin to Delete it
